Photographing Bee is a big challenge in photography.

I found this bee on the pink dahlia, my 1st impression is that this bee either sick or tire hiding in the petal that without pollens. then I attempt to move it. A soon as I use the stick to move this Bee, It began to move.

Then I found that the bee eyes are with pollens instead of the legs. I think this bee must be wounded otherwise the eyes would not be having pollens.

I am happy that at least I save one life. & This is a great shot.

I've been bouncing around of late in regard to my photographic interests. Birds, sunsets, macro, landscapes, and more. Truth be told, I am in a bit of a creative lull at the moment. Decided to do some macro work today, and here is a bee buzzing around a clover flower. Not sure what that thing is on its leg, although my wife said it is honey? Best viewed (L) for full detail.

First bee macro of 2016, from today, May 16.

Not many blossoms from which to choose yet, except for massive numbers of daisies. And not many bees either. This one found a different flower while I was nearby.

Just love these little furry insects. There certainly does not seem to be so many around this year.

In our garden we grow a few lavender plants. The flowers yield abundant nectar, from which bees make a high-quality honey.

This was taken with my new Sigma 70-300mm lens, and I am very pleased with it from the results so far; considering this was hand held and quite windy at the time !

This Sweat Bee (L. leucozonium) was camping in my Lavender for a few days.

Tech Specs: Canon 80D (F11, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (over 2x) + a diffused MT-26EX-RT (E-TTL metering, -1/3 FEC, second curtain sync). This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held. I'm holding on to the stem of the Lavender with my left hand, and resting the lens on that same hand to keep the scene steady.

My Nanny always called them this..They are from Spiderwort family..The feathery plumage of the stamens are amazing to me..The Bumble Bees love them as well as other nectar gatherers..

I love bees. They are one of my favorite critters, so I get a kick out of them as they busily collect pollen.
