No, don't laugh. I didn't know I was supposed to be making a pot. In my very first lesson the tutor told us to familiarise ourselves with the clay by making round "beefburgers" and pressing shapes into them. She then wanted us to put them together to make a pot. If only she'd told us to make square "beefburgers" it would've been a lot easier.
