Spotted a honey bee walking round in circles on a leaf the other day. Did my normal trick of sticking a finger under it's nose and it walked on.

I have a large Lavender plant in my garden, which is helping to make some tasty honey somewhere close, just don't know where...

Apparently not- more like ly a small miner bee Andrena sp.

A common carder bee(?) about to take off. Remarkably small and narrow wings for the size of the bee.
