This was my bedspace in my accomodation at my first posting at R.A.F. Lyneham on completion of my apprenticeship at R.A.F. Halton.
For the very first time, I noticed where this solitary wasp spends the night- in a cosy part of the citrus tree just like several other insects. It's been regular for a while now.
The elusive and restless behaviour of this wasp reminds of a similarly coloured citrus swallowtail butterfly (Papilio demodocus). Till date as ubiquitous as it is, the latter's bedspace still remains a mystery.

Built in 1676 of Timber construction the house has recently been completely re-furbished retaining much of its original features and character, and can accommodate up to 10 people.
Step back in time as you enter the Graig Farm House. The large hall way with its oak stairs and beams entices you in . The large lounge with its Inglenook fireplace greets you warmly. Equipped with a Large Flat Screen T.V. and D.V.D. With Sky Digital. Relax as you hear the fire crackling as you laze in the comfortable arm chairs listening to some music on the stereo system.
With The Grandfather Clock ticking in the corner, build up the fire in the Dining room and open the red wine to breath, Lunch is going to take a long time. With seating for 10 people it makes it ideal for a Party.
The Kitchen is equipped with all the usual appliances including Dishwasher and uniquely an Aga.
There are 4 bedrooms upstairs 2 King sized Doubles, the master bedroom is en-suite with shower over bath, 1 Twin and 1 Bunk Bedroom. It is possible to put extra beds in any of the rooms because of their size. The main family Bathroom has a large corner bath and Large Separate Shower, and there is a large airing Cupboard.
Log Fire’s, Grandfather clocks, inglenook fireplaces, exposed beams, oak floorboards and Olde Worlde charm make this property unique and is indeed a dream come true.
In the Garden is a Deck mounted Hot tub, suitable for up to 7 People, Sip Champagne as you let the hydrotherapy jets massage you back to life after a hard days walking.
The Farmhouse is ideal for Large Groups, who want to book more than 1 Cottage at the Complex , as it acts as a base to bring your Group together. The Dining Room can seat up to 20 People, and we have had a large 15 Piece Jazz Band plus audience in the Sitting room , so that should give you an idea as to how big the Cottage is.

One single room can contain up to 14 bed spaces which easily become 20 when counting the "floor spaces".
With its narrow streets, low buildings and houses, Satwa is the place where most of Dubai construction workers live. They come from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
A bed space is not a space to put a bed but an empty bed, often only a wooden plate without mattress, or even a space on the floor of an overcrowded room.
Evening prayer in an angle of Satwa. In the background, a glimpse of what this area is due to become: a high-tech, postmodern city without a soul.

These men come from India, Pakistan or Bangladesh to work on Dubai multiple construction sites for a monthly basic salary of 800 Drhs (320 euros).
Arrived few years ago or only few months ago, they all converge to Satwa to find a place where to live, une maison, as it is the cheapest area of Dubai.

Between 1898 and 1930 of the land assurance institution of Berlin worker-lung welfare sites established Beelitz-remedial sites form one of the biggest hospital complexes in the Berlin environs. It is a monument-protected ensemble of 60 buildings on a total area of approx. 200 ha. In two areas to the north of the railroad the lung welfare sites, in both areas situated to the south the sanitariums originated to the treatment not of contagious illnesses. The areas were separated in each case after genders: to the west of the country road the women-remedial sites and women's sanitariums, to the east the same the men-remedial sites and hubby sanitariums. Also lay factories in which predominantly women were occupied, to the west and those in which predominantly men were occupied, to the east. The first construction phase occurred in 1898 to 1902 among architects Heino to smiths and Julius Boethke (1864-1907). In the second construction phase 1908 till 1910 the bedspace from 600 to 1200 was raised. The architect was Fritz Schulz who was also responsible in the third construction phase 1926-30.

Their families have stayed behind. The luckiest ones will go home every year but most of them can only afford to go back once every two years.

Here is a photo of my new bedspace.
It's a King "W Hotel" bed & down-alternative pillows w/ "Tuxedo Stripe" sheets + a "Times Square Starlight" shimmery duvet thing. the W Hotel is fancy with their naming conventions.
Overall, it's the most comfortable bed in the universe. It's kind of like sleeping on a luxurious cloud. First of all, it's FREAKIN HUGE! Also, when you climb on, you sink into it, yet it's still firm. The duvet is kinda silky so it's smooth against your skin and keeps you cool or warm depending on the room temperature. I have to admit that I've slept like a baby on this thing and look forward to hopping into it every night.
My room isn't very big and I only had a 50mm lens so this is actually a panoramic composite made of about 20 different individual photographs.
I think someday I may upgrade to this bedstand.

The official demolition announcement of most of the "villas" at Satwa was made in October 2008 unveiling its replacement by a luxurious city-garden.
The area of Satwa, five minutes away from Sheikh Zayed prestigious street, is marked for razing. It is going to be replaced by Jumeirah Gardens City, a Dhrs 350 billion project.

Covering 110 million square feet, Jumeirah Gardens will change living in one of the most popular neighborhoods of Dubai. The project includes appartement buildings, villas and commercial properties.
It is said that the Way of Saint James was first taken up by no less than Charlemagne, and that it follows, roughly, the Milky Way. There is quite a lot of star imagery along the trail, including this beautiful piece that a wind energy company mounted (Spain has hundreds of windmills) to commemorate the way of the wind meeting the way of the stars.
Puenta de la Reina is significant for another kind of meeting: the Camino Aragones, the southern route, joins Santiago at this point. Which once again makes bedspace very hard to find. It also attracts a new pilgrim nemesis; the tour groups.
For a lot of people, joining a chauffered tour is as much pilgrim suffering they can cope with. And while generally, these people stay at finer establishments than your local gym floor, they still compete for the unique entitlements all pilgrims need. Notably, the daily passport stamps you need to collect to make you entitled for the certificate de compostella when you arrive in Santiago.
The stamps – nothing special, really – simply prove that you have been to a town, and are usually had at the auberge when you register. So it was after a 28 kilometer day, dead on my feet, that a tour group SWARMED ME, crushing me against the buttress of the auberge so that they could GET THEIR STAMP before getting back on the bus for their luxury hotel, even though I was in the process of getting a bed so that I could REST for the first time in 8 hours, and really just wanted to get out of the way. It took Darcy barking at them to get them to comply.
