GONE but not forgotten---We added character to this piece with a sober grey contrasting with the bare wooden top and the distressed doors. Excellent storage with a small footprint; really goes with everything.

My third photography assignment involved the appropriation of a concept or technique used by a contemporary photography. I chose Lynne Cohen and the concept of "evacuated space".
Shot with a Yashica FR and Ilford Delta 100 black and white film. Processed, developed and printed by yours truly.

Live-edge juniper furniture. The bedside table is made from local juniper. The bookcase is alligator juniper salvaged from a forest fire in Arizona.
I tried to clean my room today. Not just a sweep everything under the bed sort of clean, more like a 'throw out anything you haven't used in the last 6 months' sort of clean. I've had alot of success, and I was ruthless beyond all previous measure. I have a hugeeee bag full of stuff I don't want, but there's always that little pile of junk left over that you just don't know what to do with. That little pile just sits there, and eventually grows and grows until you have to start the cleaning process all over again. Also, my leg.
some drawings are less satisfying than others right... but i share anyway to show at least that i am trying to practice every day.
on my bedside table is a framed decorative lion i bought at the market, my green tin box where the blue fountain pen is kept , the orange/teal box is a bigger vache qui rit box decorated with art paper and the white box in front is my timer which is one of the best tools to keep around
Taken for ODC. This is my new bedside table, a Japanese Honbako. Most of the clutter is now in the upper cupboard that has varied compartments and the three drawers!
This print was a total surprise - I ordered a black and white print from Jon Carling of a black cat up a tree, and when it arrived today he had very kindly included lots of other little goodies in the pack, including this beautiful hand-signed owl print. I had a spare Habitat frame that was just the right size for it, so it's now sitting on my bedside table and it looks great! I'll photograph the other prints as soon as I've framed them.
