My new Monster High bedspread!

Cut a twin-size bedsheet in half. Turn one half perpendicular to the other and cut a circle in the center the size of your hips. From the pillowcase, cut a strip the length of your hips, plus seam allowance, and twice as wide as you want the waistband, plus seam allowance. Fold waistband in half around a piece of wide elastic, and attach to circle cut in rectangles.

(yes those are my bedsheets i'm using as the backdrop)

So my first WIP of the week is this female Toa of Ice. I got some G1 parts from my friend last week, the best of which was that sweet marbled Mahiki and tan Krana, and I decided to use them to create a MOC, in this case a female Toa of Ice.

I'm thinking of either using that HF fist for her crotch, or using a Vahki hip piece and sticking that tan Krana on her butt. As you can also see, I can't torso very well, but I sure can arms.

Thoughts? Comments? Critiques? Should I go through with finishing her?

Friends of mine wanted some picture made for a Birthday present for their mother.

Using a roll of Savage Super White background paper I was having issues getting the background color the way I wanted it. I ended up putting the SB-600 w/Honl Gel BEHIND the paper and shooting through it. The tough part was getting the color burst where I wanted it in relation to the subject.

Generally I dislike any sort of heart motif in photographs. Cliched, overdone, overly cutesy, and all that. But then I got my new 50 mm f/1.4 and just started practicing and playing, taking shots of my friend's bedsheets, and this is the result.

I could not believe my eyes when I found a full flat sheet in this pattern at the thrift tonight! I received a FQ of this in the Vintage Sheet FQ Swap and I fell in love. I was SO happy to find this sheet with very little fading and for only $3!

Charlie is such a BIG help changing the sheets..... not! But he does make me smile ;0)

Day 36 of 365 CAT Days

Don't expect to get a bed made up quickly if cats are in the room. For some reason the making of beds triggers instant playtime mania in felines. You cat owners know what I'm talking about.

Marilyn Monroe bedsheets. And some yarn.

I hope Mary's not looking for her spare bedsheet. Here it is hanging on the fence at the new housing springing up at Fauldhead. ''Happy 65th Mary.''

bored with my camera at hand.

Am I a lucky girl? Yes! I am! Here are my new Orla Kiely bedsheets purchased from Myers of all places. Not only are the beautiful, they were almost 50% off.
