Just a quick interlude in the uploading of july's pics: a glimpse of the outfit I made for my Ribika something like... a year ago? ^^; I'm so late...
Anyway, it's made of leopard-printed silk, black faux-fur and stick-on pearls. I really liked the look it gave her, but... I started a Monster High custom project and it just doesn't fit anymore. So I'll sew her new clothes eventually :).
PS : my first MH custom for the above-mentionned project (a Draculaura) will be completed soon; expect some pics! :3

As is probably obvious, the Monster in my Pocket Great Beast is meant to resemble "The Beast," the seven-headed monster that symbolizes the Antichrist in the Book of Revelation.

Seriously, they got EVERYTHING wrong! I... I don't get it. I just don't get it. This can't be attributed to a research error, it's not like BIBLES ARE HARD TO FIND. Seriously! They're everywhere! And FREE! Come on, guys! You researched the NUCKELAVEE accurately in the pre-internet years! YOU COULD HAVE DONE THIS. AAARGH. Anyway, physical description from Revelation 13:1-8:

As far as I can tell, the only things this figure has in common with the one described there are the number of heads, and that little dent just underneath its rightmost throat (the deadly wound?). I dunno. Anyway, the thign with Jewish Apocalyptic literature is, wild monster descriptions were given to people or kingdoms - look at the stuff in Daniel (Alexander the Great is represented as a goat with crazy horns, the Roman Empire is this gigantic metal-toothed beast with a hornt hat could talk, etc. etc.), so this was probably referring ot either an individual ruler, or a committee. I personally lean toward the idea of a group of rulers with one particular one as the head.
Fun toy detail: The Great Beast's tail is WEIRD. It looks like a separate thing stuck to his back, and you can actually see part of it behind one of his heads. It's like a Lee Press-on Tail, or something.
And finally: Note that I said Book of Revelation, not Revelations. Seriously, that's the title. No S. The original name for it in the Greek is "Apocalypse," anyway, with "apocalypse" meaning "to unveil," or "to reveal," so hence "revelation." And now you know!
