Ambleside Park was designated in 1918, and by 1964, the slough had been mostly filled in with sand to become Ambleside Beach.

This is a photo of the edge of an outcrop of bedrock, with beach sand sculpted by the surf at Clam Harbour Beach.
This is a shot that i took earlier this year in the Lofoten Islands, Norway. I would say it was my favourite beach.
Uttakleiv Beach is located on one of the Lofoten Islands and is considered to be the most photogenic Norwegian beach. Here (usually during winter sunsets) people can watch borealis.The best Uttakleiv Beach views can be seen from the mountain Mannen. From all Lofoten Island's beaches the Uttakleiv Beach is the most unusual. Creamy white sand, green grass, emerald-hued water and tides polished silver stones on the rocky shore attract photographers from all over the world.
The beach is easily accessible to visitors. It will take 20 min by car to get to the area from Leknes, not wasting time for walking. Convenient parking is waiting for guests near the beach. Many thanks to everyone who took the trouble to view comment or fave.

Imagine... A little wooden shack nestling amongst the sand dunes along a deserted stretch of beach. The only sounds, the gentle lapping of the waves on the shoreline. A morning spent beach combing, bringing back the precious finds and decorating the hut's one windowsill. An evening sitting in quiet contemplation with a good book and only a candle for lighting. A good meal, perhaps fish you've caught yourself and cooked over an open fire on the beach. Sleep, restful deep sleep, lulled by the sounds of the waves, dreaming of a little wooden hut by the sea... Imagine...
