Most mornings when we were in Darwin over Christmas/New Year, we walked along Casuarina Beach where it looked different every day.

"The sacred lamp of day Now dipt in western clouds his parting day." - William Falconer

This ones from the archives. It's been really cold here in London over the last couple of weeks, so haven't taken much shots - basically I'm lazy!. LOL

Apologies for the slightly off balanced capture, should have cropped/edited it on iphoto.

The girl on the left is a friend of mine Ethel aka Honbless, do check her stream. She's an amazing photographer..

Taken during a walk around Crescent Beach in Surrey, BC. Used my D750 that day, five years that particular day that I got that camera. Been nothing but good to me.

Walking south of Abbots Lagoon you have about 9 miles (15 km) of open beach until you hit the Point Reyes headlands (where the lighthouse is and the land ends).

That day, on the beach closer to the trailhead there were a small number of sets of footprints heading south. After 3/4 of a mile or so, mine were the only ones left.

The astonishing thing is that this place exists as it does less than 60 miles from a major metropolitan area.

Thanks for taking a moment to view.

Have never ever seen beach mushrooms. I wouldn never have seen them except I was down on the ground photographing some tiny yellow beach flowers, another thing I never noticed. Happy Day to all (;-D

Manly Beach on a nice day, on a beautiful day.

It borders the southern slope of the densely forested Lamru National Park. Khao Lak Beach is about 1.5 kilometers long and is sheltered in the bay off the tropical Andaman Sea.

Another sunset Rockpool one, but with a nice line of pools. I'm off for the final volunteering session before Christmas. It's wet and very windy so will be a. bit of a challenge. Auguries of Innocence is by Jah Wobble. I don't know why but I think there's a beautiful innocence to the beach, especially between the tides.

I've not been around here in a while but with time on my hands thought I'd come and say hello. I hope everyone is keeping well.

I had a fairly inspiring winter period, especially working on my local beach. The sea defences have become very seriously eroded which does make for interesting imaging opportunities. This breakwater has now sadly gone after being a part of my photographic life for a very long time. It's ironic that at the end of their life they become more interesting.

ENG: Beach on Hörnum harbour (Sylt island/ North Sea). In the background Hörnum lighthouse under construction.

One from earlier this year that didn't make the 365 cut - and a bit of variation from the steam of dark and gloomy images I've posted of late.

Sunset from Hudson Beach with storm clouds near Hudson, Florida on Monday, May 25, 2026

Was hoping for some after sunset lighting on all the clouds but, alas, there was a front with high clouds off the coast and the Sun disappeared behind them. Storm clouds were coming in from the south, too.

A mobile phone shot taken on Drigg Beach with the wind blowing the sand.

After many overcast and cold days, the weather wasn't all that bad last Sunday, so it was busy on Hoek van Holland beach.
