Hadi Paryitno, perintis kain tenun lurik yang dipadukan dengan batik motif Banyumasan berada di tengah para pembatik di sentra batik Kecamatan Banyumas, Minggu (10/2). Membatik dengan kain dasar tenun lurik sudah digeluti Hadi sejak 2008. Batik Banyumasan di ambang kepunahan karena minimnya regenerasi. Saat ini pembatik Banyumasan didominasi oleh kalangan ibu-ibu berusia lanjut. (Aris Andrianto/Tempo)

The pattern inspiration was from Greece.

Real batik resist dying is done in textile centers all over India. The ornament has a distinctive craquelure finish that confirms it's authenticity. Wax is applied to the sari as a resist, and the patterns emerge through numerous wax application and dyeing steps
It's actually a bandana. I just wrapped the bandana on my floor lamp, and this is what I got. Kinda looks like a face, don't cha think? LOL
I don't know why I've been so into taking photos with dark backgrounds. They just look better :D
Plus, if you take photos with dark backgrounds, they'll look better On Black!

My wife makes fancy quilts as special occasion presents. My daughter is soon to be wed and the quilting scraps are flying. The cutting board is yellow and self-healing.

Finished! This quilt has grown on me since I first started out. I did a pieced backing to try to use up my leftover yardage. It worked perfectly! It's bound, scrappy style, in my favorite prints from the quilt.
Modified in Filter Forge using the Batik Art filter by Northernshadow for use as a power point , document, or web background.
