this was made for my packaging design assignments.
3 weeks in hell. 3 days without sleep. then 3 days got sick. and dont forget the misprint. oh. shit. =D but, i just love the result.
The batik was originally made from me ,for the college midterm task.
The pattern inspiration was from Greece.

Real batik resist dying is done in textile centers all over India. The ornament has a distinctive craquelure finish that confirms it's authenticity. Wax is applied to the sari as a resist, and the patterns emerge through numerous wax application and dyeing steps
It's actually a bandana. I just wrapped the bandana on my floor lamp, and this is what I got. Kinda looks like a face, don't cha think? LOL
I don't know why I've been so into taking photos with dark backgrounds. They just look better :D
Plus, if you take photos with dark backgrounds, they'll look better On Black!

My wife makes fancy quilts as special occasion presents. My daughter is soon to be wed and the quilting scraps are flying. The cutting board is yellow and self-healing.

Finished! This quilt has grown on me since I first started out. I did a pieced backing to try to use up my leftover yardage. It worked perfectly! It's bound, scrappy style, in my favorite prints from the quilt.
Sold. Bronze batik with resist embellishment, lined with black silk charmeuse.
