This one of my first photos to be included in an exhibition, and it is the first photo i sold for 150K Rupiah (roughly about USD 11.5$). It's not that much, but I was quite thrilled by it since I took this photo just for fun.

In August 2002 (just a couple of months since I bought my first camera, the Canon G2), me and my friends got the chance to spent a few days in Bandung (I was still studying in Jakarta back then) for a national choir competition, we all accidentally wore a Batik pants altogether when we're hanging out. So I took some pictures for fun.

This kind of Batik pants is largely sold at Malioboro, Yogya.

Técnica interessantíssima e milenar, o batik se caracteriza pelo uso da parafina/estearina e continua sendo um "must" no aprendizado da pintura em seda. O microcraquelado, resultado da utilização de cubos de gelo na finalização do trabalho, é mais uma das belas características dessa técnica milenar.
