I actually like the aesthetic of this photo even with the obvious imperfections.

After shooting over five rolls of Kentmere 400 I have come to the conclusion that it is a bit too grainy for me. Granted I'm pushing it in Rodinal, but realistically I need to shoot something a bit sharper with a tighter grain structure. My all-time favourite high-speed black and white film is definitely Neopan 400, and I think that it always will be.

Added this rather poor scan from tiny picture in Reece Winstone's "Bristol As It Was 1934-1936" to go with the other pics I've posted on the bridge. As the date is so precise I guess it must have been taken by the great man himself.

The ship is the "Sandholm"

While Reece Winstone was a pioneer in recording Bristol I think his books went slightly down hill as he crowded in too many small pictures to the detriment of the overall presentation - his earlier books were better in that respect
