Taken from Twerton Roundhill. Twerton Round Hill, once known as High Barrow and believed to be man-made. John Wood thought it was the sepulchre of Bladud, the legendary founder of Bath, others that it was raised in commemoration of some famous victory and covered with the relics and spoils of some great warrior. It wasn’t until the late 19th century that it was confirmed to have been formed naturally.

Prior Park Landscape Garden surrounding the Prior Park estate south of Bath, Somerset, England, was designed in the 18th century by the poet Alexander Pope and the landscape gardener Capability Brown, and is now owned by the National Trust. The garden was influential in defining the style known as the "English landscape garden" in continental Europe. The garden is Grade I listed in the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens of special historic interest in England. Around 1100 the site was part of a deer park set out by the Bishop of Bath and Wells John of Tours. In 1720s it was bought by Ralph Allen and landscaped to complement his new house. Further development was undertaken after the house became a seminary and then a Roman Catholic grammar school. In the 1990s 11.3 hectares of the park and pleasure grounds were acquired by the National Trust and a large scale restoration undertaken. Features of Prior Park Landscape Garden include a Palladian architecture bridge, lake and ancillary buildings.

A popular stop off point for walkers to admire the views over the southern Bathscape, sitting just outside the historic village of South Stoke.

In this area, you can explore the beautiful villages of Midford and South Stoke, the Cam Valley and the Somersetshire Coal Canal.

The Corridor is one of the world's earliest retail arcades, designed by architect Henry Goodridge and built in 1825, in Bath, Somerset, England. On Tuesday 10 December 1974, a telephone warning alerted police in Bath that a bomb was shortly to explode in The Corridor. The subsequent blast from a 5 lb bomb planted by the IRA[3] caused huge damage and forced the Corridor to undergo a major renovation programme. No one was hurt in the blast.

I'm a bit late to the party posting this but here is one of my favourite shots from a couple of visits to take my little ones to see the moon. I got some great shots for the family album of them posing and flying past the moon.

➑️Mesmerising and beautiful.

I captured this scene of the iconic Pulteney Bridge spanning the River Avon early one morning in Bath, Somerset UK. I really liked the framing of the surrounding trees as well as the lovely soft light on the Bath stone buildings.
