While not without a few small hiccups, the bathroom is complete... as the new tenants walk in the door, the crew is putting the last bit of touch-up paint on the wall. That was close.
Unlike our ipod bathroom upstairs, we wanted to keep with the architecture and style of the house... circa 1920.
This is the bathroom of the castle I shot in France. Again no flash just a longer exposure. Edited in LR and PS.
Aaand...this concludes bathroom week. On this one, I was both blessed by more space and damned by the toilet :) Client (designer) wanted just one shot of this bathroom, to encompass everything, so we pretty much had to go with this comp. (Believe me, the toilet was discussed!)
Two frames blended: One all-ambient frame for the right side, and a flashed frame (at about 1/100) for the left side. Wish I had gotten more detail in the tub interior...there was probably some contouring in there that could have been brought out.
Feedback and suggestions are always much appreciated...thank you!

Description:
These empty nesters wanted to make a luxury Master Bathroom from the chopped up space they had. I redesigned the space taking some square footage from the Pool Bathroom and gave them everything they wanted creating a unique and luxurious space. Please see the before and after drawings that illustrate the changes that were made.
Tips & Advice:
In most cases any room can be redesigned to suit your needs. Even if you can't add on, there are ways to make it look and feel larger depending on how the cabinets and tile are set and which colors are used. Even though walls and plumbing were relocated, the project took about 7 weeks to complete because every product that was to be used had been delivered prior to the demolition.
All we need is a bathroom door and real window shades and we'll have ONE room done!
BEFORE photo here.
We moved the toilet, installed a clawfoot tub (to replace the shower stall), put in all new tile - and rebuilt the window trim and medicine cabinet. (whew!)
