The question is: Why do we hide what we are?

This actually looks very nice as my current screen saver. Something seems to be lost in the smaller photo.

A very hot and humid day at the Wakodahatchee Wetlands but I would imagine this Basilisk felt very much at home considering they are native to Panama, Belize, northwestern Colombia and Costa Rica. For Florida, another introduced non-native.

lovely beach, Manuel Antonio National Park

But there is no loneliness in Manuel Antonio as it is in Carara National Park.

This lizard was seen at the Wakodahatchhe Wetlands near Delray Beach, FL on Sep 19, 2007. Not very common to see these guys. This one from nose to tail was about 2 feet. Also know as the "Jesus Christ" lizard because of it's ability to run on top of the water.

This was my first good shot of the Plumed Basilisk. This guy was almost as interested in me as i was in him. he stayed within about 4 feet of me for a good few minutes, too bad the fence was there, but it kept me from being eaten by cocodrilos.
