Commonly known as the Jesus Christ Lizard as the can walk on water (or run across it for short distances). Green on the Caribbean side and gray on the Pacific.
White and Black Basilisk: Pair dolls, inspired by my current writing.
Materials: Faux fur/minky, epoxy putty, Sculpy clay, steel wire, quilt batting, acrylic paint, correction fluid, various varnishes
Time taken: ~5hrs (White), ~7hrs (Black).
Features: Highly poseable bodies (particularly Black Basilisk, due to his longer limbs) , glass bead eyes

The locals call this lizard a basilisk, or the "Jesus Christ" lizard, because of it's ability to "walk" on water. This is one of those lizards who run around on their hind legs. I needed a video camera to capture that! But, alas, I don't have video!

Ideas Grand Prize Winner
This design was a MOC that I entered into the 2018 LEGO Ideas Contest for Wizarding World builds. It took the Grand Prize in the Magical Creatures category!
It was the first all-nighter that I ever pulled to create a LEGO design. Though technically it was an accidental all-nighter. The Basilisk's segments were challenging to figure out!
