* "Faber Castell" - watercolor pencils

Hi there! I just got the Special Edition: A Great Big stamp set and just had to ink one of them up! I thought this cute doll fit the sentiment nicely ... and she has a lovely Sakura flower on her dress! :-)
I used 1/16" pop dots to adhere the scalloped circle with the sentiment. Then, I used 1/8" pop dots to adhere the doll to the card. That way, the doll is popped up the most. I also used an opaque white pen to highlight the center of the Sakura flower and the row of dots on the doll's dress.
Materials used:
* cardstock: white, gray, burnt orange, textured putty
* Basic Grey Offbeat Light Hearted 12" x 12" cardstock
* Clearsnap/Colorbox Cat's Eye pigment ink: Roussillon (rust) and Peacock (blue)
* Derwent watercolour pencil: 64-terra cotta
* EK Success 3D-Dots: 1/16" squares
* EK Success Cutter Bee scissors
* Hero Arts LL229 Special Edition: A Great Big
* Marvy Uchida Clever Lever Giga punch (purple): 3" scalloped circle
* Marvy Uchida Clever Lever Mega punch (pink): 2 1/2" circle
* Odorless mineral spirits (OMS) - Mona Lisa brand (Michael's)
* Plaid All Night Media Pop Dots (1/8" thick)
* Provo Craft Bitty Scrap Pad: Into the Woods (patterned yellow paper)
* Provo Craft Cuttlebug (used with Nesties)
* Prismacolor Premier colored pencils: PC942-yellow ochre and PC928-blush pink
* Ranger Archival Ink (waterproof): jet black
* Ranger Inkssentials Opaque White Pen
* Spellbinders Nestabilities Curved Rectangles and embossing pad

I made this tag card for Jacqueline's Grid-Tag challenge. With the exception of the card base and the white inked background paper which I stamped the Have a Beautiful Birthday sentiment on, I made each of the three tags entirely with items from my stamping scrap pile. Jacqueline suggested using tags which are 4 cm by 8 cm, however the birthday sentiment is rather high, so my tags are only 7 1/2 cm long. All stamps and dies are Hero Arts. Thanks for this great challenge Jacqueline! And thanks for looking.

Thanks to Eric Carle for writing one of THE best picture books ever (The Very Hungry Caterpillar.)

Perhaps Hero Arts could make some sort of delicious day sentiment to save me from having to insert my own handwriting!!!! It kinda spoils it a bit.

Dowager quilt pattern featuring Sweet Serenade by BasicGrey. blogged duringquiettime.blogspot.com/2013/05/sweet-serenade-quilt...
I love this photo. The person in it with me brings so much color and fun to my life. I chose to use several bursts of color in this layout for different reasons. The green is loud...how we are together. The red patterned is busy...once again, how we are together. The yellow has such an organized pattern which totally represents how OCD we both are. These colors make me happy...just like this girl.
This is the digitally stitched version but you can see each of the individual pages in my gallery.
You can also see more details in this blogpost: randomchaoslife.blogspot.com/2011/02/day-seven.html
Journaling reads:
"We hold hands because you can't hug and walk at the same time.
Matt took this picture of Laura and me as we explored downtown Marietta.
Our friendship is much like the bridge we're on : long, strong and incredible.
I don't see her nearly enough. I love the way we ALWAYS pick up where we left off - whether in person, on the phone or online.
She is my ROCK, my very best friend, my sister. She knows me better than most people. My world is complete with her in it.
I admire, respect and love her. She challenges me and always knows which questions to ask.
She brings so much fun, COLOR, and laughter to my life. Things are better when we are together. :)
7 February 2011"

Made with Fruitcake by Basic Grey/Moda and Kona Snow. Backed with Folksy Flannel. Completed December 2011.
I bought a bundle of four Lost & Found stamp sets by My Mind's Eye. I like this lady on a tight rope... the banner is cool, too. The butterfly, postage and damask pattern are from the sets also. The tree is Penny Black and "you're amazing" from Innovative Stamp Creations. Still playing with Distress Stains. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Que Sera pack.
I signed up for the She Art class and it seems to be crossing into my Whimsy Winter Angel. I feel happy about this canvas because she reminds me of my beautiful Mom, who is an Angel now, too. So, I hope you like her. (Papers are Basic Grey, stamps by Inkadinkadoo and Hero Arts, rub-ons are Fancy Pants, tissue tape by Tim Holtz.)
HA hibiscus; HA sentiment; BasicGrey paper Eva/extravagence. I love having sketches to work with! The flowers are also BasicGrey paper embossed with white ep.

I made this card for the current Runway Inspired Challenge #46 - L.A.M.B. 2014.
I was inspired to create a distressed background which resembles the colors from the inspiration photo. I also tried to capture the black & white element with a stamped butterfly. I was inspired to use the red patterned paper for the large butterfly - the wings representing the two sides of the jacket. Thanks for looking.
Supplies: Hero Arts Tiny Hearts Background, Hero Arts Truly Appreciated, Hero Arts Everyday Messages, Hero Arts My Favorite (Ink Spot stamp), BasicGrey RSVP patterned paper, Sizzix Flights of Fancy dies, Ranger Distress Inks (Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold) and May Arts jute.
Hero Arts Scramble #64 - Example Card
Photo Frame - I stamped my photo frame on white cardstock using Hero Arts Airmail (331069). I trimmed around the stamped image.
Slant - I adhered strips of patterned paper (Basicgrey Kneehighs) at a slant across a piece of 3 3/4" x 5" cardstock. Then I trimmed the excess paper from the edges. I also repeatedly stamped the "hello!" sentiment along the edge of one of the slanted papers to create an angled greeting.
Metallic - I placed a strip of 1/4" double-sided Scor-Tape between the slanted edges of two strips of patterned paper. I covered the sticky tape with gold glitter, shook off the excess, and burnished the glitter to the tape with my finger tip. I also glued three gold sequins the card front.
OCC Summer Card Camp 2 - Wrap Up Homework (Final Day)
My card was inspired by Maggie Holmes. Thanks for looking.
Supplies: Hero Arts Sending Smiles Messages (CL490), Hero Arts Bold Pop Design Die (657851), Hero Arts Wet Cement layering paper, Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Bubble Gum), and BasicGrey patterned papers (Kneehighs, Mint Julep, and Hipster).
LOAD12 "Road Trip" Pet Scrapbook Layout - Make your own embellishment. I made the map flowers a few years ago (when I attempted an Etsy shop) and have been waiting to use them. A layout about car rides was perfect. I also made the other circle embellishments and used my last two giant brads. The butterfly and heart were made by my 5 year old a few months back. Supplies: cardstock (black, Wausau, BasicGrey), Echo Park stickers, brads. This is the pin that inspired my layout: www.pinterest.com/pin/106819822385985124/
