ValentineCard again :)

I used "TildaMedSnuttefilt" and "Swirl"-stamps and BasicGrey's Infuse paperpad as well as letters. Flowers are PrimaMarketing's Esprit and buttons from BasicGrey's TwoScoop collection. Also used couple of FancyPants AgedFlorals rub-ons.

I played with some creative girls in a google+ hangout last friday, and created this card. I had been all over MA and NH so was a bit tired, aka lazy- and only wanted to use what was within arms reach. Paper and embellishments scraps worked well here! After I saw my friend Cheiron’s card with the “weekdays” Hero Arts set, I was like “great i’ll never top that” – but i’m happy with what i ended up with.

This is my Kiara Lee card for this week's comp. It was inspired by her wonderful card, www.flickr.com/photos/25278938@N03/2964941447/

I worked extremely hard on trying to keep it simple ;-). TFL

This is my second attempt at the the “a blog named hero” color challenge. I had originally pulled these pattern papers from the Basic Grey’s Indie Bloom 6×6 paper pad when I created the butterfly card, but the patterns didn’t work in that design. I didn’t want them to go to waste, so I figured I would create another card. Hope you enjoy it!

QA round 1, 1st quilt

I used Basic Grey's Urban Couture for this one as I love BG fabrics and paper.

I decided to use the extra 1 1/2 inch strips I had left over since I had 1/2 metres rather than 1/2 yards. I think it is a nice horizontal focus for the back on this one.

Once again for the Hero Sketch Challenge! This time I made a series of cards following Sketch #1.

These cards are 3" x 3" and use the following supplies:

Patterned Papers: Basic Grey

Cardstock: Basic Grey

Ink: Ranger Distress Ink [Walnut Stain], Ink It Up! [Walnut]

Stamps: Hero Arts [LL171 Handwritten For You, CM002 Stamp It: Critters]

Adhesive: Duck Easy Stick

Corner Rounder: WRMK [Corner Chomper...love this thing!]

I wanted to do one last card for the Friendship challenge ... this one features Basic Grey Urban Prairie papers (both 12" and 6") and a sentiment from All Occasion Messages (CL272).

My niece's birthday card for her friend. She enjoys the layers.

Stamp - Penny Black

Die cut - Spellbinders & Lifestyle Crafts

My top all sewn together with blue flannel yardage that I have. I almost think it's to bright of a blue though. The blue in the top is more of a light blue. I have a couple of other colors I'm looking at. Here are the links-

What do you guys think? I'm also open to any other suggestions. The top is about 34x51 so if I tried to find something from the Blush line I would need about 2 yards.

Quilt made as fundraiser for my daughter's preschool. Had each of the students write their name on a leaf, and appliqued to a "tree" along with apples for the teachers and Oreo, the school pet rabbit! The school initials are "carved" into the tree trunk. Blogged at:

Day Thirteen

I wasn't happy with any of the results from the Ebay search...so I went a little different route and just scrapped a few pictures I'd been holding onto for awhile.

Little random...but as you know by now, so am I.

The photo on the left is elevated with pop dots and lines up with the second picture.

Journaling reads:

"One of my FAVORITE things about the car show was riding in the new jeep on a really interesting obstacle course : over logs, on an angle, up a SUPER steep hill & then down the hill with NO BRAKES! It was totally AWESOME! It makes me want a jeep maybe more now than EVER! Such a fun adventure. 2011 :)"

Fun Halloween card made with Bazzill card stock and other bits of papers I had around. The frame is recycled from some packaging I had. My fave part is the black lacy border made from the EK Success edge punch.

For this challenge:

Simply used BG Wander to document my daughter's 3rd grade year. Their school theme was a travel theme: "Destination: Success". I used Picasa to collage a variety of photos from her year, pulled out a a couple of sheets of BG, the sticker and alphas from Wander, and a little ricrac.

I'm thinking I borrowed this design from another one-pager, but can't find it - sorry!

A layout about Me talking about "things I don't do"...inspired by the prompt at Who's That Girl.

Here's the journaling: I am a creature ruled by my emotions. I am ruled by my heart...easily hurt. Quick to smile & laugh, but also quick to anger. When someone hurts me, I keep it inside. Why? It's a selfish reason, really. It's not so much I'm afraid to hurt another...it's because I can't deal with the guilt after saying something I wish I could take back. You would not believe how much sleep I'd lose! Awful to say...BUT IT'S THE TRUTH!"
