card using Lawn Fawn's "My Silly Valentine" stamps and papers from My Mind's Eye.

I've found that prewashing fabric brings back the straight of grain. Which means less wrinkles in the hem of my napkins. I don't like to iron napkins and we use them everyday.

My first attempt with a clear album.

Wow, l finally finished today, better late than never. Thanks so much foir the inspiration Rachel, l love my quilt, and learned so much. I free motion quilted it myself after the lady at the local quilt shop gave me a crash course in FMQ :-)

Made this Card for this months Hero Arts Challenge. I used one of the sketches. Last week I found this little paperpad Konnichiwa.I really LOVE the little patterns of this paperpad. The butterfly is colored with Copics.

I adapted sketch #4 to create this card. I substituted the ribbon and had it tie where the circular element was "supposed" to go. Instead of using a straight strip of paper, I used several punched shapes and layered them with pop dots.

Supplies Used:

Card: Hero Hues [PS569 Sunshine Folded Cards]

Patterned Paper: Basic Grey [green], Doodlebug [yellow]

Ribbon: American Crafts

Stamp: Hero Arts [CL380]

Ink: Versafine

Punch: EK Success [bracket]

Die Cut: Sizzix Scallops

Adhesive: Scotch ATG, Scrapbook Adhesives [pop dots], Glue Dots

This is the card I made for little Kate's brother, Will, for the Cards for Kate drive. It's hard for me to make a masculine card because I love girly cards SO much. I'm happy with this one. It took me out of my comfort zone!

Started with Basic Grey patterned paper, Recess placed over Bazzill cardstock.

On the bottom of the card, I placed a strip of plain black cardstock and over that I attached a die-cut typewriter tag from Graphic 45 Communique collection. I attached a ribbon from Hot of the Press.

On the other side, I cut out a circle on my Silhouette and embossed it on my Cuttlebug with the herringbone folder. I cut that in half (I used the other half on Kate's card) and attached that to the card. On top of that, I cut out a smaller circle with Bazzill textured paper. I used letter stickers from Rebbecca Sower designs on the inner circle and used black brads in each letter.

Notice the pencil design on the paper is manipulated to point toward "hello."

Varislintuja Lilithiumille Decotiimin kautta, näidenkin piti olla jo yli vuosi sitten valmiina. -.-'

Halusin korpin istumaan keskellä ympyränmallista kelttisolmuornamenttia - helpommin sanottu kuin tehty! Noiden solmujen suunnittelu ympyrälle on nimittäin yhtä helvettiä, QED. Mutta lopputulos on toivottavasti sen arvoinen. :) Mustetta ja vesivärejä taas + valk. geelaria tuomaan otusta esiin. Tausta skräppipaperia, lisänä suikale taas tuota vihreäkuvioista pellavapaperia sekä mustaa organzanauhaa.

---

Corvids deco via Decotiimi. Indian ink & watercolours on Sennelier calligraphy paper, scrapbooking paper (by BasicGrey?), linen paper and black organza ribbon. Designing Celtic knots on a circular grid is hell, as it turned out. :D

Natalia of Piece 'N Quilt put a pointsettia motif into each scallop of the binding.

Thanks for looking!

The right side of my 2 page spread for a circle journal I've been involved in.

The theme was "favorite books".

Journaling reads:

"In addition to reading, I love to create. One of my favorite things to make are mini [scrap] books. Perfect in size, they don't take nearly as long to finish and there's just something extra fun about making something out of nothing.

My favorite size to work is 6"x6", but I've been known to branch out a little. Lots of my friends have mini books I've made-tiny reminders of great times and memorable moments. Books can have photos-but don't have to. Sometimes words are enough.

Some of my favorite mini books:

-My cookbook. Trying a new recipe every week!

-My clear album that won an online challenge.

-A 3"x3" accordion album documenting my favorite summer things.

-My thinking inking book-made to help remember different creative techniques.

-My Tim Holtz inspired journal-with plenty of blank pages.

-The bar-golf book - a record of one CRAZY night.

-Layout a day 2-2011. 56 pages in 28 days!

-Paint chip books filled with quotes.

I love to create mini books!"

I love Lain's prompt for today. I actually had already done a layout using the lyrics from "Stuck Like Glue" [you can see it here: www.flickr.com/photos/kerrycwills/5414410431/in/photostream/] but I've had another song stuck in my head and I decided to roll with it today!

The song is called "This" by Darius Rucker [aka Hootie from Hootie and the Blowfish]

Journaling reads:

" "I don't really know how I got here But I'm so glad that I did And it's crazy to think that one little thing Could have changed all of this Maybe it didn't turn out like I planned Maybe that's why I'm such, such a lucky man. Every stoplight I didn't make Every chance I did or I didn't take All the nights I went too far All the girls that broke my heart All the doors that I had to close All the things I knew but I didn't know Thank God for all I missed Cause it led me here to this"

Trying not to question - & just enjoy the ride."

If you change the man to woman and the girls to boys, I'm pretty sure this song describes where I'm at right now. I love it. If you haven't heard any of Darius' new country music, I highly suggest you take a listen.

This may be the perfect tunic! The shorts used to be pants, but they got too short in the wash so after a quick chop and hem they became capris. Fabric is from the Basic Grey line "Origins" for Moda. Shorts are gray canvas and made from Vogue 1051.

This is again a card with two stamp sets. The Ice creams are from the Large Happy Birthday set and the sentiment is from the Hip hip Hooray set. The sentiments are colored with Copics and the Ice creams are paper pieced with Basic Grey Paper and paper by Lily Bee Designs( dotted paper).

Magnolia stamp, 3D flower, corners stamped with template, BasicGrey's stickerletters from TwoScoopsCollection (looking forward all those wonderful new collections that are coming soon :) and couple of butterflies still waiting for some glitterglue on their wings.

I found just the right combination for this months' theme of Friendhsip and Valentine's. CL184 and CL276 So Sweet. The focal image was stamped with a tiny floral background stamp masking out the area for the hearts. Then I stamped and colored the hearts {with copic markers} and stamped the sentiment. PP is Basicgrey Nook and Pantry.. CS is Papertrey Ink Sweet Blush.

I LOVE basicgrey's line of paper. Especially phoebe and gypsy. It is so fun to work with.

I inked the Basic Grey Chipboard Crutch with various shades of Brown Distress inks and then stamped it with Hero Arts Wood Finish in the darkest shade of brown.

The Bold Flourish is stamped multiple times on the October Afternoon Gazebo grid paper. I used a chocolate glitter pen to color in the open circles in the design. The sentiment is from Huge Hugs.
