Month 6, Toes in the Sand BOM by the fabulous jaybird quilts at Quilter's Way.
Blogged about at www.alidiza.com
This card is for Color Combo’s Galore #198 (theme Vintage Design). The inspiration photo had both a red car and a vintage sign. I found a picture of a Route 66 sign and used that as a template for the card background. It was embossed with a gear embossing folder. The car was coloured with Distress ink, Perfect Pearls and water. The blue paper was embossed with a bingo embossing folder and sanded to reveal the white core, and the gears were stamped with a happy definition stamp. ‘Grattis’ means ‘congratulations’ in Swedish.
Supplies: Hero Arts stamps: Going (CL478), Happy Definition (CG269); Distress Ink Fired Brick; Perfect Pearls; Tim Holtz Sizzix Bingo embossing folder and gears die; Cuttlebug gears and swiss dots embossing folders; My Favorite Things flat bottom clouds die; twine; BasicGrey patterned paper; mini stapler.

These were inspired by Kristina Werner. I loved the one she had on her blog. She put transparency in her circle. I decided to forgo the transparency and put a scallop to highlight the flowers inside.
They are for my cousins baby shower. I like to give thank you cards so it's one less thing the mom to be has to worry about.
the flowers inside were stamped with 2 different colors and then I painted them with Shimmerz....if you haven't used this product I urge you to go find some...this stuff rocks! :)
HA stamps setCL184 thoughtful messages was used. Flower stamps are Magenta and all paper is Basic Grey. Love those 6x6 packs.
Here's my card for Card Patterns sketch #150. I used the small rolled roses dies to cut 8 medium sized flowers from pink kraft core and 8 small ones from red craft core. I sanded them lightly, rolled them up and applied some white paint on the edges. Then I placed a little pool of glossy accents in each center and sprinkled with glass glitter. Finally, Rock Candy Stickles was smeared on the flowers. I glued them to a square piece of cardstock. Three patterned papers were used for the background. I really like the biggest one, it looks like old fashioned wallpaper. The scalloped border was cut from a fourth piece of paper. The lace trim was dyed with Victorian Velvet distress ink to match the pink flowers. TFL!

This layout was made to participate in this week's sketch challenge at BasicGrey, which was a 2-pager with 9 photos. It uses all BasicGrey papers and embellishments, with the exception of a few little gems that I added to some of the flowers. The base of the layout is from the Lauderdale page kit, which I altered to fit the design of my layout. The rub-ons and some of the punchouts are also from that kit. I then added some chipboard elements and tags from the regular Lauderdale collection.
I will add detail photos to my Flickr account as well.

A Birthday card for my friend. Calendar Stamps from Mayaroad, Happy Birthday stamp from PB, the others from HA (setember/flower/butterfly). Patterned paper from BasicGrey
A wonky log cabin quilt I made out of Max & Whiskers by Basic Grey. I loooove the prints of the little animals so I couldn't help myself :)
another card i made using my new hero arts goodies. same papers from basicgrey (paper cottage) and stamp set (life is fun). the layout is another fun sketchbook saturday sketch. i'm squeaking this one in for the challenge, but just couldn't let the week end without making something!
Yay for back to scanned in images that are way clearer than cell phone pictures!
However, the bottom of the page still kinda got cut off, but it is the same as the top.
Day 13 : Hobbies Past
Journaling reads:
"a crafty side
the first crafty thing i can remember
doing by myself was making friendship
bracelets out of colorful string. the color
combos were endless & i loved learning
new styles & techniques. i moved on
to seed beads & pony beads & mixed
all kinds to create my own jewelry.
i loved being crafty. these days i
spend more time with paper and
scraps, but it all started with string.
what an amazing hobby! 2-13-2012."

BG Phoebe range used, both 12x12 & 6x6 papers. Little drawers/matchboxes all hand made, as are the tassles. Tassles attached using a bead on the other side of the eyelet.
This has been basted and ready to quilt FOR-EV-ER! I needed my basting pins for my single girl, so I finally sat myself down and quilted it. I slapped on some binding and voila! I have a finished quilt :)

Here is the card I made using the "Out of Print" collection. You can enjoy the how-to video if you click here
What is a vision board/book?
It is a board whereby you cut out pictures of things you desire, stick them on the board and visionalize having these things in your life already.
As a psychology lover's - I like the general idea of the book/movie "The secret" with the combination of neuroplasticity theory so I decided to make my own vision book.
How I made the vision board/book?
I took 2 poor-quality childrens books and torn their papers and covered the bindings with wallpaper.
I made 6 holes in the middle of the bindings and knotted between them some colorful fibers. It helped me to connect the 2 bindings books togther as a one book.
Now I'll add lots of pictures (from magazines and the internet) of things I desire to have.
Wish me luck :)
Thank you for looking! Blogged here on my Copic Info post with a video showing how I colored the rose: artismysunshine.blogspot.com/2010/11/copic-beautifulness....
The image is a digital stamp from Birdie Brown.

Another quick card! It seems that it's the only kind I'm doing these days!
A card for the Hero Arts blog. The theme this week was "Papers" and I love all the paper companies that were featured. I wish I had had more time to make a few cards, but this one will do!
I used the new Bazzill polka dots. Isn't it just beautiful? I loved the Bobunny polka dots, but this one is textured! Just love it!
I used Bazzill Blue Denim CS, the green Polka dots and some pale blue from my scraps. I also used a band of Basic Grey that I thought gave a masculine look to my card. The brads are, I think, by Making Memories. The 2 stamps (cupcake and background words) are Hero Arts. I colored the image with alcohol markers andf pop it with foam dots. I inked the edges of the scalloped pale blue circle with Tim Holtz Distress Old Paper. The circles were cut with Marvy Giga and Super Scallop punchesw. The corners were rounded with Fiskar corner rounder punch.

The 2 other cards inside the Origami box.
An elegant Origami folded box I made using a new Hero Arts quatro stamp set. I used only the inside part of the stamps so they are small and I think that they qualify for this week's HA "little stamps" challenge. My cards inside the box are 4" x 4".
I used the beautiful new Basic Grey Porcelain paper. On the cover I used the small butterfly from one of the 4 stamps and the large butterfly. Love those butterflies. I covered the large one with Diamond Stickles. I did not stamp any sentiment on the card, because I want to add it when I know what I need : Thank you or For you or Happy Birthday....

I used the Technique Tuesday/Cath Edvalson Garden of Life stamps and dies for this card. The papers are from BasicGrey's Mint Julep line. For details, please see my blog at: redballooncards.blogspot.com/2015/09/celebrating-cath-tec...
Each month I spoiled myself with something that I really like / want :)
I didn't succeeded to order the "Project 365 Kit" of KOTM & Becky Higgins.
So now i'm trying to collect by myself all the materials that I need for it.
As you can see in this mosaic photo, I already bought:
* "American Crafts" - D-ring 12X12 Modern Album, From - "ladydailly"
* Divided page protectors
I need to make: monthly dividers, journaling block. weekly headers, pre-desinged header cards, day of the week stickers, etc... and then star my 365 album :)
I also bought some items that I love:
* "Tilda - Magnolia" rubber stamp, From - "ladydailly"
* "Basic grey" paper pad 6X6 - Bittersweet
* "Maya Road" Cupcakes Chipboard, in tin box
I'm giving away a fat quarter bundle of BasicGrey's new collection PB&J on my blog. It's open until March 11, 2013.
