EEEEEEEEEKKKKKKK..... guess who was asked to be guest designer for June counterfeit kit challenge?!?!?!? yay it was ME!!!!!!

If you follow my flickr account you will know that for the past couple of months the Counterfeit kit blog has been my new home and my new place for inspiration.

if you're a friend of mine you will know how much I've loved being pushed to use different stash with this perfect way to stash bust and create fab things, all at the same time. If you've been thinking about it, then please give it a go this month, I'm sure you'll love it!

So this month we have been given a WIDE OPEN prompt for kit building... have you seen the new ranges by Basic Grey?!!? if you have you will probably love them as much as I do and that was the hardest bit about building this kit, deciding which collection to counterfeit.

(which was why i ended up with 2)

June Kit: Basic Grey New Paper Collection

www.basicgrey.com/scrapbook/

***Pick any one of the new paper collections (or even combine some) to create your kit. No embellishment suggestions this month...go ROGUE in your stash for those.

I chose South Pacific as my first kit to forge, I loved the colours, the tropical theme and especially (weirdly) the fruit bits that were thrown in there, its good to be random sometimes!!!

Please see my next post for the second kit i forged :)

This months blog hop is below, please take some time to visit all of the fabulous designers and see what they've added to their kits this month... can't wait to get started xxx

Please visit ifeelglee.com/?p=373 for details on my blog.

Thank you so much. :-)

brandon was 2 yrs old and sophia was just turned 1 when they were ring bearer and flower girl at my sister's wedding in 9/2006 in MI.

the top photo shows them dancing at the wedding.

fast forward to 7/2009. these 2 meet again. the 2 other photos are of the 2 dancing at goofy's kitchen (see minnie's polkadot dress in the background). it was her 1st visit to disneyland and brandon sure showed her around!

BTW, i LOVED using and making this a more girly LO than my other scrap pages since this one included a sweet little GIRL!!

I finally took pics of my quilt for Melissa's QAL she hosted earlier this year. I stitched in the ditch along the red solid & in the center square. Just have to wash & dry. I'm crossing my fingers that none of the reds bleed. :)

Made this card after seeing Shari's card last monday. I liked her card very much. So I tried to find stamps, paper and inks to make a similar card. I hope I succeed in it a little bit ?!

Made this for the Hostess Challenge 1 .

I liked the photo's Sally showed. Found the tag in my cupboard. It is by Basic Grey, and it has just the colors of the photo's.

Basic Grey's Hello Luscious collection paired with SRM Stickers :).

I created this card for Stamping A to Z's A is for ... (art journal), B is for... (Basic Grey), and C is for ... (ColorBox) challenges.

The background is patterned paper from a Basic Grey Kioshi 6x6 paper pad (KIO-2344 Yuriko). It reminds me of color wheels, which is why I picked it for this card.

To make the focal image, I stamped Inkadinkado 97460-An Affair of the Heart (tattoo heart with banner) using ColorBox Blue Lagoon chalk ink, from their Primary Elements chalk queue. Next I stamped letters from Hero Arts® CL183-Sparkle Clear™ Cute Letters to spell "artist" using ColorBox Lavender chalk ink from the same queue.

I colored in the sword in the design using a Sakura Stardust clear glitter gel pen for sparkle and shine. I cut and dry embossed the focal image with Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eleven and made a cut and dry embossed matte using Labels Eighteen.

I tied metallic purple cord around the black matte and then adhered the focal piece to it. I mounted the matte to the card base using foam squares for dimension. The crystal jewels are iridescent rhinestone stickers from Recollections.

Thanks for looking! :-)

I made this thank you card using Basic Grey Junebug papers and a Stampin' Up! stamp.

I use Avery Elle's Storybook stamps and dies for this card and a mix of My Mind's Eye, BasicGrey, and October Afternoon papers and chipboard. For details, please see my blog at: redballooncards.blogspot.com/2014/04/make-wish.html

This is my take for OCC, Day 4. I like that it ended up so different from the original stamp… I used a technique taught by Jennifer McGuire during OCC, Insider.

Supplies:

Stamps: HA/BasicGrey - Love From Our House; WPlus9 - Silver Bells.

Coloring: Distress Inks - scattered straw, spiced marmalade, tea dye, walnut stain, broken china, faded jeans; VersaMark; gold embossing powder.; Memories Unicorn - white.

Others: Watercolor paper; Sizzix Embossing Folders Christmas Set #6 - Snowflakes #4 Border; MME - Be Amazing 6"x 6" pad; Ranger Stickles - Waterfall, Gold, Candy Cane; GA.

ETA - I'm joining Curtain Call with this card too. After all it also has Christmas inspiration, although not so obvious... here is the link - curtaincallchallenge.blogspot.pt/2013/11/curtain-call-ins...

the front of my Blush table runner, all quilted during the Friday Night Sew-In.

It still needs binding.

I used this "Turquoise #1" sketch:

scrapbooksteals.stealnetwork.com/wp/2012/05/02/fancy-pant...

And for the "vintage" Basic Grey challenge:

blog.basicgrey.com/?p=2920

...used some Mellow, Lime Rickey, and the journal box is on Gypsy/Romani paper.

Not sure I was supposed to combine BG challenges, but this is what I came up with for the mixed title challenge:

blog.basicgrey.com/?p=2759

I used alpha stickers from Mellow and from Lime Rickey. The small label pennants are Elle's Studio Halloween pennants.

The page is about last Halloween, when our next-door neighbor put on a big production (he's a sound engineer and does concerts). There was a baton-twirler with flaming batons, lots of blacklights for glow-in-the-dark effects, spooky lighting, and a stilt-walker too. Our block was packed. And I had to mention the fact that my daughter was a Harry Potter wizard...adding to the "Spellbound" nature of the evening. ;)

TFL,

Cynthia

Colored the skin with a marker, the rest is done with paper.

This card is for the Hero Arts October challenge (Holiday card theme), and for two Stamptoberfest challenges (Double Take and Patterned Paper). The Double Take challenge is to stamp an image on tissue paper, turn the paper around and stamp it again to get a mirror image. I used this fun reindeer stamp and stamped it six times on tissue paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used gel medium to glue the tissue paper to patterned papers, cut the bodies and jerseys out and then paper pieced the deer on the green patterned paper. Some snowflakes were stamped around them and Stickles added to the snowflakes, jerseys and noses. The background is dry embossed Core’dinations cardstock. TFL!!

Blogpost: layersofink.blogspot.com/2011/10/double-deers.html

Supplies: Hero Arts stamps: Christmas Reindeer CL840, Merriest Christmas Wishes CG377; 7Gypsies, BasicGrey and unknown jeans patterned paper; Frosted Lace Stickles; Ranger Studio multi-medium matte; Memento Tuxedo Black; Cuttlebug embossing folder; Core’dinations Espresso cardstock; ribbon; crepe paper, tissue paper.

for yonatan's birthday.

The papers are Basic Grey's, the baloon stamp is a rubber stamp I got from somewhere...

This is the final project in BasicGrey's "Green at Heart" kit. Instead of using only two 4x6 photos I created a photo collage in Picasa that highlights some of our worldly travels.
