These are Basic JPEG images unedited (I did put them in lightroom for numbering) Right out of camera to create a day of slide show at the wedding. RAW files will be processed later. I mainly shoot with a 200mm F2 VRII lens to create my buttery smooth backgrounds. Usually they are shot wide open. Saturdays wedding went from 8 am to midnight so typically lugging my 200 for lack of better words kicks my butt. I loved the output of this lens. A lot of people on youtube have been saying that the 85 1.4 or tamron are better buys or bang for the buck but come on. As a professional we charge a bride to hopefully give them the best quality. I would shoot with the Zeiss lenses if they were auto focus. So for the output I received VS the cost this is a no brainer. Almost as good an output as the 200 F2 at 1/3 the cost and 1/3 the weight. I'm also not a Nikon Homer. I love the Sigma Art 50 1.4 and use to love the Sigma 35 1.4 but have had calibration issues with it lately. Need to do some fine tuning to bring it back into my shooting bag. I will, time permitting, do a real world comparison of the 105 1.4 vs the 200 f2 viii. Thanks,

La etapa 9 estuvo cargada de solidaridad y emociones a flor de piel gracias a la iniciativa de la Sociedad de festejos El Carbayu de Llangréu que llevó todo su apoyo a la marcha fletando un autobús hasta Medina de Rioseco. Casi ya en el ecuador de la marcha, esta visita supuso una inyección de ánimo extra para los caminantes y un bálsamo para la convivencia comunitaria e intensa que supone una experiencia así, que como es normal siempre tiene que lidiar con y limar asperezas.

El ETERNO en marcha: ¡Ponte en Marcha!
En este mismo momento estoy intentando expresar como nos hemos sentido hoy, y digo hemos porque las emociones son las mismas. Exactamente las mismas, ¿quien no ha derradamado una lágrima? Y nunca en vano. O se ha sentido apabullado por una situación determinada. Ver caminar a gentes tan diversas y llegar a Medina sabiendo que nos esperaba allí. Y pensar que en el momento de unirse con el gaitero y el tamborilero vas a llorar, ver a tu gente orgullosa, abrazarse, darse besos. Quererse, tratarse con cariño es la esencia, la máxima, el baluarte de la lucha. Oir a Gabriel, un joven parado, decirte: -A mi esto me está cambiando la vida. Me planteo muchas cosas que antes nunca me había planteado. Yo era de los que se quedaban en casa. Y ahora me doy cuenta de muchas, muchísimas cosas. Ver a Karina, una gallega feminista convencida hablar con un paisano de la Cuenca bromear y hablar desde el respeto, pero también desde el sentido del humor sobre los roles de los hombres. Ver, escuchar, empaparse de la gente que te acompaña. Es una de las experiencias vitales más enriquecedoras que he tenido en mi vida. Y sé que la gran mayoría lo vive, lo siente asi.
El autobús que ha llegado hoy ha acompañarnos es un adelanto de los que nos sucederá en la llegada a Madrid. Un hecho que nos permite acercarnos al apoyo que recibiremos cuando lleguemos a Madrid. Ver cocinar con amor, con ganas, con cariño a Asociación de Festejos “El Carbayu”, el mismo cariño y cuidado que ponen los dos grandes músicos que nos han acompañado el último trayecto de esta etapa. Las fotos hablan por si solas y son un reflejo fiel y prístino de lo que hoy ha ocurrido. Y junto a ellas quedarán nuestros recuerdos en un abrazo compartido.
Mañana llegamos a Villanubla sobre las 15 o 16 de la tarde, saldremos a las 8 de la mañana. Y hemos animado en una Asamblea en la plaza del pueblo a que se nos unan mañana, sin olvidar nuestras justas reivindicaciones, sin seguir existiendo que la mejor manera y forma es lucha es ponerse en Marcha. En marcha contra el Capitalismo, en marcha contra la represión, contra las reformas, los recortes. Sin olvidar a los ocho crios que han detenido la semana pasada en la Cumbre de Bilbao. Expresamos nuestra repulsa y creémos que no podemos permitir que se detengan a crios, porque sabemos lo duro que es, y que atenta contra los derechos fundamentales.
Por eso es necesario que tu también te pongas en Marcha.

The most basic paintball gun possible.
A paintball falls down the hopper. Front trigger is pulled to free the paintball, then the rear trigger is pulled to release a jet of CO2. The CO2 goes through the porous material, hits the paintball, and carries it out the barrel and at the target.
A photographer friend of mine asked me to shoot a local fashion show with her. I accepted. Then she asked me if I would take head shots for the models. Okay. On the first day we attended the dress rehearsal; it was chaos. The lighting was awful and the the lighting dude kept changing it. Dreadful results. On the second day I spent about 6 hours doing head shots of about 45 models. Exhausting. I was stuck in the basement, I found a cramped space to turn into a basic studio. I tried my best under the circumstances. The result was I missed the entire fashion show. Grrrr, I spent a few weeks working on the photos, sent them out to the models I shot with, and waited to hear back from them. And waited. I think I've heard back from about 5 models thanking me for my time and photos. It was so discouraging. I'll never do anything like this again. The only bright side was meeting some very lovely models; we're already planning future shoots - I hope we can pull them off.
Hailey, the model in the photo, is a keeper and a great find. I actually met her at the practice session the night before - and my camera liked her instantly. She is so sweet, photogenic, and classy. After she walked the runway at the real fashion show she still had a lot of energy and wanted to do some more shooting. I would never tell her no, so we had a fun, impromptu shoot - what a blast. And we also ended up shooting with her a few weeks later. Life is good!
SSgt Lundsford, our TI, went home for lunch so I sat at his desk to have a pic taken with his nice playboy centerfold. Later, someone took a pair of scissors to it and cropped the polaroid for me. Damnit! It was 1970 at Lackland AFB, TX.

The suspension bridge is perhaps the best known classic bridge design. They can be as simple or as complex as you need them to be. In this case, simplicity has been chosen. The Water of Saughs is crossed in a single span that makes no contact with the fast flowing water below. Poles at either end host the cables that support and hold up the wooden deck and said cables are well anchored into the ground at either end.
Whilst this bridge looks flimsy, it's design allows for movement and its lightweight nature means it's more likely to avoid damage during windy periods. Walking over it alone was certainly a fun experience. I had every confidence in the towers and the cables but the wooden deck directly had a tendency to creak when stepped on. I have a lot of respect for bridges like this.
Although I've titled this photo "Basic Bridge", this isn't the most basic suspension bridge I've come across. In Glen Nevis, the idea of a basic suspension bridge is taken to the extreme as three steel cables cross the river. Two to hold onto and one to walk across...
