My Blacktron Base, built March 2010 - My biggest moc since i came out from my dark ages - It started as a small outpost, but grew and grew, so that i had to stop the build because i run out of parts - If i ever manage to visit a convention i have to transfer it on a standart baseplate - I also tried to build some playable features and came out with a foldable entrance stairway, a Tower with a roof that can be opened and a foldable Ladder, the big canopie can be removed and there are several balconies to mount the weapons -

In the distant future, the human race is forced to leave Earth and go to live on the Moon instead. There were two main factions: the Spyrax (mostly from western countries) and the eastern-originated Hwarang. The Spyrax quickly gained a larger portion of the lunar surface to settle on, while the Hwarang had smaller outposts dotted here and there. They coexisted mostly in peace, although there were inevitable small skirmishes.
This is my first proper attempt at microscale, and I'm rather pleased with it. Hope you like it! :D

Panorama of Curiosity images showing the base of Mount Sharp. I didn't do anything to the color in this image - the colors here look pretty much what I think Mars should look like (but nature rarely listens to me...)
The trek to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) with 15 days itinerary offers you the chance to explore additional areas than that offered by a short trek to ABC. Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek is one of the widely sought for treks in Nepal. The trail to the base camp is filled with a unique landscape full of terraced fields of crops and upon reaching higher altitude one can enjoy the beauty of rhododendron trees and evergreen forests. The walk passes through Gurung and Magar villages that have a rich ethnic cultural way of living. The traditional way of life of Nepali people living in mountain region can clearly be observed here. The lodges around the region are well kept and typical Nepali cuisines are offered. The brightly coloured and well-kept tea houses and restaurants are found along the way where you can get good rest and enjoy your food. At the evening you will have a good entertainment with singing and dancing in Nepalese folk tunes by our team.
The trek starts from NayaPul to Annapurna Base Camp and back to Pokhara through Phedi. Mount Annapurna is a 10th highest peak in the world with the height of 8,091m. The trek to the base camp reaches the highest altitude of 4,130m/13,550ft. The walk through icy trail around Machhapuchhre Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp is quite slippery so you will have to be careful. The walk through the glacial ridges and view of the huge mountain peak right in front of you will give you an awesome experience that you are not likely to forget ever.

A autumn visit to the remaining Auxiliary Unit Operational Base at Blaenavon, South Wales. The site is very accessible, being close to a car park and just off a public footpath to the summit of Blaenavon Mountain. It sits in an exposed location which is leading to its increasingly rapid deterioration.
I won't try to explain the history of the Auxiliary Units, only to stay that at the peak in 1941 there were estimated to be over 1,000 small units of highly trained volunteers that would inflict a guerrilla war on any invading force to the British Isles. They were highly trained, and often had regular jobs within the communities within which they served. One unit did not know the identity of neighbouring units, nor were Operational Base locations shared. The purpose of the OB was to be a place where fighters could rest and resupply. There were a number of stations designated Zero stations; the callsign allocated to the operator of the radio net. These stations would have coordinated operations. As far as I know, Blaenavon was not a Zero station.
While most OBs were underground, this one stands out as it is not. The terrain, and selection of site, led to the station being constructed at ground level and being covered with stone and earth to the level of the small rock face to the rear of the base. What is also intriguing, is that this OB appears to have a larger pre-fabricated building constructed at the front of the unit. While only building rubble remain of this structure, I am doubtful that this would also have been camouflaged in the same way as the OB itself. Nor am I able to ascertain if this is a later addition, after the requirement for Auxiliary Units waned, or if this was an ancillary building that would have covered the purpose of soldiers being in the area, and the OB was a separate, secret, part of the site.
