Veleticia and Daniel are a young couple from New Brunswick. I came upon them as I took a late-morning walk to take in some of this nice late summer day. This was shot across the street from The Heldrich Hotel. I chatted with them for a bit and told them about the project. She translatedmy request to take a photo of them to him. I was abit surprised at how serious they both look because they were all smiles just a few minutes earlier.
The cause of their smiles? The one person I couldn't get in the frame...one-month old Jose who, after just taking a bottle from Daniel, was sleeping peacefully in his stroller to the right of Mom....

I met Chloe while she was working selling fish n' chips on a stand at the start of Felixstowe Pier. We had a nice chat and Chloe offered help with directions. Over the years everyone used to give my dad baseball caps from places they went to as gifts. He used to wear each one for awhile, then moved onto the next. As time went on, though, he got a lot more of them than he could ever wear, and last weekend, while cleaning out his old garage, we found a box full of caps that had hardly ever been worn. I decided to take back a few that I had given him. The Prague, Rome and Venice hats were from our trip in 1997; the Edinburgh hat comes from a trip in 2002. Nowadays he wears about the same three or four hats, and can't be bothered with his old collection.

This old bugger zoomed off on his zimmer to another unsuspecting café later on. He came across as a little grumpy. True or not? I don't know. Lannion on market day (jeudi).
