Loe Bar must be one of the unsung gems of Cornwall
This natural shingle bar has cut off the freshwater lake from the sea. So on one side you have a lovely freshwater lake with all the birdlife and the other the wild Atlantic pounding at the shingle.
I got the train to Shirley Station, then had a walk via Green Lane, the renamed Green Lane Park (ex Mill Lodge Park), then Colebrook Road and up Haslucks Green Road to the Stratford Road in Shirley.

We went to a bar mitzvah and Wolfie was pretty great sitting through the two hour ceremony. The yamulka wouldn't stay on his head (too many curls....) but he was totally into it!

A bar on one of the Royal Carribean cruise ships. I went exploring my second day on deck, found the bar empty (because it wasn't supposed to be open yet) and got the chance to shoot some pics. I really liked the lighting and the repetiton of the chairs.

we went to the chocolate bar for the first time, and i fell in love with the wrappers on some of the chocolates. i ended up getting 6 bars. the price was 23 bucks! but they were so cool.
