Early morning at Thorneside, QLD. Bar-tailed Godwits leave our shores during March and April for their breeding grounds in eastern Siberia and Alaska. They return to us in August and September.
Nome Alaska - This Bar-tailed Godwit chose to nest close to a Long-tailed Jaegers nest so was able to get several flight shots as the two chased each other around.

Another fabulous idea Hillary had was to do a candy "bar" with little serve yourself bags instead of table favors. That way everyone got exactly what they wanted! Genius!

The bar is illuminated with red and purple
light. The bouquet of flowers on the right,
the wine racks and the bartender's sleeves
are the brightest in the scene. From the
ceiling hang three light objects, neon tubes
that emit a ghostly light. This gives the
whole scene an additional gloomy effect.
