My otherwise durable commuter bike's handlebars broke suddenly when riding! Luckily I didn't crash, and I found a stick nearby that fit into the broken bar. The ride home was unusual, but stable.
I've been riding using these generic aluminum bars about 4 years and do really yank on them when climbing hills (it's a fixed gear). Most likely replacing these with Nittos.

Os envÃo una foto tomada en la c/ Virgen de la Cabeza de la ciudad de Valencia, a la hora del bocadillo delante del Bar "El Chiringuito", hoy domingo 20 de abril por la mañana.
Como comprendereis en este Bar se comen unos bocatas la mar de buenos y baratos, tanto que hasta los taxistas se alian con la PolicÃa para poder aparcar. Lo mismo les da hacerlo en doble fila, que sobre la acera o en una curva con estrechamiento de calzada por obras. El caso es comerse el bocata antes de que se pase la hora.

A bar, restaurant and café, that specialise in oysters and hard ciders. Most bars have one or two hard ciders on tap, a few have three or four, this place had eleven the day I visited (plus several bottles).

The Littlest was a tiny little step-down bar, a fixture of the area for 60 years, a grand cross-section of citizens and regulars and friends who'd been brought in from out of town just to have a pint at The Littlest.
The bar wood was worn to a smooth finish; so was the shelf along the back wall that served as a table. You learned real bar etiquette at the Littlest, with precious little elbow room. The gentlemen always let a lady sit at the bar; bumps and jostling were expected but always pardoned if the jostler asked for one.
Somebody thinks a luxury condo building would be perfect in this space.
That somebody is full of shit.
Nobody brings friends from out of town to visit Yet Another Condo Highrise.
