Proteq-rijder Peter Baars 5e maar winst voor Michaud
Breda - In de Essent Cup marathon in Breda ging de zege naar Cedric Michaud. Hij was in de tweede cupwedstrijd van dit seizoen de snelste van een kopgroep van vijf rijders met een ronde voorsprong. Peter Baars uit de Proteq Schaatsploeg reed sterk en maakte deel uit van deze kopgroep maar was in de eindsprint kansloos en eindigde als 5e.
Kurt Wubben reed opnieuw sterk en finishte als tweede. Willem Hut veroverde knap de derde plaats. Michaud neemt met zijn zege ook de leidende positie in het klassement over van Jan Maarten Heideman, die in Breda niet verder kwam dan de achtste plaats.
De strijd bij de heren leek door het hoge tempo wederom uit te draaien op een massasprint. Vluchtpogingen waren er wel, maar niemand slaagde erin echt weg te komen. Ook het ontbreken van rasaanvallers als Henk Angenent (langebaan-aspiraties) en Jan van Oosterom (fietsongeluk) was merkbaar. Maar de vele toeschouwers kregen even na het midden van de koers toch waar voor hun geld. Een vijftal rijders - met Cedrick Michaud, Kurt Wubben, Willem Hut, Peter Baars en Bob de Vries – reed razendsnel weg uit het peloton en had in korte tijd de staart ervan al weer achterhaald. Met name de Time Out-formatie miste hierdoor de beslissende slag en had mede door een val van Bertjan van der Veen het nakijken.
Willem Hut trachtte in de finale van 10 ronden een spurt met Michaud te voorkomen door alleen weg te rijden, maar diezelfde Michaud rekende hem samen met Wubben weer in en had vervolgens weinig moeite de zege naar zich toe te trekken. Lars Hoogenboom lijkt zich dit seizoen toe te gaan leggen op het veroveren van de groene trui en gaat al riant aan de leiding in het sprintklassement. Het witte jongerenpak bleef bij Bob de Vries.

Students of The International Culinary Schools at the Art Institutes visited New York City in July, 2009. On Tuesday, July 7th, they had a spectacular dinner at Bar Americain, a Bobby Flay restaurant in Midtown Manhattan. Bobby paid the students a special surprise visit and graciously stayed for pictures.

Attached to the rum museum so good selection of cocktails available, usually has a live band playing.
The renovation are almost done at the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, I'm finishing the photos of the new Chateau... it will be very nice ;-)
Something about this just appeals to me. 'Snack bar syndrome' sounds like an illness someone could suffer from; probably after leaving the pub.
The Hummingbird Bakery in London, UK, is trialling a new product this week: The Chocolate Biscuit Bar. The bar consists of a chewy base made up of raisins and cherries with crunchy pieces of biscuit. This is topped with a generous layer of milk and white chocolate.
The tension bar is put in place. This helps all the threads to be wound with an even tension. The more even the tension of the threads on the warp, the better the cloth will be. Not to mention fewer problems while weaving. The longer the warp, the more important even tension becomes!
