Bar and Bat Mitzvahs are held at the Western Wall on Mondays and Thursdays. The rituals are often preceded by a procession to the Western Wall. These are joyous celebrations, often with music and dancing. These are wonderful things to see, particularly the mothers sharing their joy with their families and the community.

When big sea mammals need a place to rest, or hide from sharks, but don't want to haul out onto the beach, it's nice of Mother Nature to "Raise the Bar" for them ...the sandbar, that is.
Situating themselves in the proper spot as the tide goes out, makes it so they don't even have to move at all. They are "lifted" onto dry land as the water level drops, and the sandbar materializes below them.

Bar Tailed Godwit "Profile" Alaska is an amazing place, almost impossible not to create a pleasing image here. the sweet light is endless, The Tundra makes for unobstructed and pleasing images and the amount of birds here on territory is amazing! Its hard to imagine a place any better for Avian Photography!!

I was lucky enough to be asked to shoot a very special Bar Mitzvah last Sunday at Chabad of Poway for two members of the Friendship Circle. It was one of the most beautiful things I ever been apart of, the joy and emotion in the room was overflowing. Since it was a Sunday I was able to shoot photos, I want to keep them private for the families, but this is my favorite shot.

A peaceful night of sailing then took us to Bar Harbor, Maine. We especially enjoyed this picturesque and scenic area since the ship had to drop anchor in the harbor and anyone who wanted to disembark had to ride in tenders to get into town. Many very fancy mansions dotted the shoreline and as we slowly coasted in, you could see the fishermen pulling up lobster traps from the thousands of floating bobbers in the water around the ship. This beautiful settlement was founded in 1796, and was originally named Eden. Interestingly, Bar Harbor has a year-round population of 5,000, but in the summer the population swells to 18,000.
La zona principal y la terraza estaban al completo y nos ubicaron en una sala adyacente que no conocÃamos y que estaba completamente vacÃa. Ambiente un tanto aséptico y bastante triste sin tumulto.

Sunset in Bar Harbor. At low tide, one can walk across this sandbar to Bar Island. The sandbar is only available for about 2 hours at low tide. Visitors have been known to be stranded on the island until the next low tide.
