I have rather mixed feelings about crows. They are very intelligent birds and perhaps that is the reason for feelings on both sides. They are fascinating to watch because they are so cunning and calculating.

On the other hand, crows have attacked me while protecting unseen nests, pooped on my head as I was about to go into a job interview, and stalked me while eyeing the sandwich in my hand. After all that, you'd think I would have learned to avoid them! However, no incidents have happened for many years. :-)

Drooping tree, growing over the barbed wire. There’s an allegory in there somewhere.

“Off with his head!”

- William Shakespeare

(RICHARD III)

I am me, a perfect imperfection

I wonder what my future holds

I hear the whispering voice in my head

I see the lights coming on

I want to be successful

I am me, a perfect imperfection

I pretend I'm in my own world sometimes

I feel unfinished

I touch the next step in my life

I worry that I will not be able to reach it

I cry because I have so much to do in so little time

I am me, a perfect imperfection

I understand life is short

I say better make it count 'cause no one gets it back

I dream of what I want my future to be

I try to be successful

I hope it happens someday

I am me, a perfect imperfection

Dew covered webs on Barbed Wire

Walking on a footpath along the Kromme Rijn river, close to Utrecht.

The detail is interesting in the large version.

Sorry for not uploading yesterday! We're re-doing our porch roof at the moment and the place is *such* a mess. Hope you like this - taken on a lovely walk in the New Forest.

A happy accident. I clicked the shutter late and missed the bird flying in frame. But I really like the tension the framing creates. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

This place is a secret. I can see sunsets, floods, snow......everything. It's the perfect place if you need to think.

Growing up on a farm, I used to hate trying to climb through a fence. I would always get my clothes caught, or hurt my hands on the barbs. To this day, when I see barbed wire fences, I think back to those childhood days.

Barbed wire protection from peoples.
