Almost the weekend! Yeah!
Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Father's day to all of the Dad's out there!
Oh yes, I know there are probably a dozen better titles....something to do with barbed wire. Brain is fuzzy this morning. Suggestions welcome.
They are behind barbed wire , Lock & Key access and common sense should tell you not to venture this way !! But why not I hear you ask , it looks like there might be a nice view from up there - but there is a lot of high voltage electricity up there and of course many tons of trains passing by with little chance of stopping should the need arise .
Skylark / alauda arvensis. Derbyshire. 12/04/21.
'WEATHER WATCHING.'
Menacing rain clouds swept across the upland fields during late afternoon that day. I'm sure we've all seen similar skies during this exceptionally cold, wet May!
I spotted this Skylark perched on the barbed wire and liked the way it was looking to one side, as if registering the oncoming storm. Earlier that day Skylarks had been in full, uplifting song ... when this image was made, there was total silence.
BEST VIEWED LARGE.
Out today with Pauls Pix 53 and ianbartlett for about a 6-7 mile wander around Battle.
I set us a brief for the day ... cameras in mono and square crop and use a lens you don't use very often. I went out with just a 45mm, which I haven't used for ages.
I had hoped to keep with a floral theme for April but the day just ran away and I didn't get a chance to take any photos until sunset
Sunset. My absolute favorite time of the day. I love my town. I love the light. I love the quiet, rural places and the barbed wire and the trees and the bramble. :-)
