A unique wood bangle bracelet, made by boiling a thin strip of maple in coffee and bending it around a form. The bracelet is tapered as it spirals outward, which gives it an interesting shape and bold shadow lines. Finished with walnut oil. The spiral can be loosened to fit all sizes.
I wish I knew more about this beautiful glass bangle. It doesn't show well in the photograph but it is beautifully faceted all around the outside. I have no idea of it's age, I would love if anyone could shed some light on it for me.

Bangles are traditional ornaments worn mostly by South Asian women in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is a common tradition to see a new bride wearing glass bangles at her wedding and the honeymoon will end when the last bangle breaks. Bangles also have a very traditional value in Hinduism and it is considered inauspicious to be bare armed for a married woman.
Everybody has a different preference when it comes to bangles as they come in different shapes, sizes and colours.
This picture depicts some of the variety which is available.
