Okay....it worked....the bangle is oval......but I don't like how the colors turned out after baking :)
The oval shape wears great around my wrist.
I think this one get's under in a drawer because of the color :) I'll sure make an other one with other colors hihih
This was my very last bit of neon-yellow-premo *snif* I love this shade of yellow so much :)
Bangle sellers are we who bear
Our shining loads to the temple fair...
Who will buy these delicate, bright
Rainbow-tinted circles of light?
Lustrous tokens of radiant lives,
For happy daughters and happy wives.
Some are meet for a maiden's wrist,
Silver and blue as the mountain mist,
Some are flushed like the buds that dream
On the tranquil brow of a woodland stream,
Some are aglow wth the bloom that cleaves
To the limpid glory of new born leaves
Some are like fields of sunlit corn,
Meet for a bride on her bridal morn,
Some, like the flame of her marriage fire,
Or, rich with the hue of her heart's desire,
Tinkling, luminous, tender, and clear,
Like her bridal laughter and bridal tear.
Some are purple and gold flecked grey
For she who has journeyed through life midway,
Whose hands have cherished, whose love has blest,
And cradled fair sons on her faithful breast,
And serves her household in fruitful pride,
And worships the gods at her husband's side.

This bracelet has been coated in a sealer for shine and to make it water resistant. It is slightly waterproof so don’t go showering or swimming with it on. The bangle is 1.2” wide and measures 2 1/2" and fits med sized wrists.

A little dutch girl, curiously looking at her lak bangle being made, and then elated to finally wear it.
Bangle made from one of the weights on the threads in the loom we found on the roof of one of the Hans in Istanbul. The nail and washer also came from there and the quartz was bought in the Grand Bazaar!
Set with included quartz, black spinel and garnet.
Taken with Pentacon 50mm f1.8 lens on Panasonic GH2.
It's the end of my holidays, & on a whim I decided to take a Serious Look at all of my bangles. I hadn't realised that there were so many. Better start wearing them, I suppose.
I'm wearing as usual a completely thrifted outfit. I often set little Wardrobe Challenges for myself. Usually the challenge is about Pattern Mixing. I'm not sure if these two go together, but who cares? In the words of the Celebrity Window Dresser, Simon Doonan, 'Fashion Should be Funny'!

Honeycomb Bangles, designed by Cynthia Rutledge, published in Bead & Button April 2011. This bangle handmade by me using Miyuki delica, seed bead, Swarovski Pearl and Modar Chinese rondelle beads. Technique used are peyote and netting. Very easy to make. Thanks to Cynthia. I now know why it is so popular among my flickr friends. lol
