New bangles that I've been making incorporating etching, texturing, forming and riveting.

The Bangles after their performance in Beaumont, CA (July 13, 2011)

A close fitting cuff of stamped silver with a concave silver shaped containing a fragment of pressformed tin wire-riveted into position. With semi-precious beads, pearls and glass.

I just have so many!

The Bangle-sellers

Bangle sellers are we who bear

Our shining loads to the temple fair...

Who will buy these delicate, bright

Rainbow-tinted circles of light?

Lustrous tokens of radiant lives,

For happy daughters and happy wives.

Some are meet for a maiden's wrist,

Silver and blue as the mountain mist,

Some are flushed like the buds that dream

On the tranquil brow of a woodland stream,

Some are aglow with the bloom that cleaves

To the limpid glory of new born leaves

Some are like fields of sunlit corn,

Meet for a bride on her bridal morn,

Some, like the flame of her marriage fire,

Or, rich with the hue of her heart's desire,

Tinkling, luminous, tender, and clear,

Like her bridal laughter and bridal tear.

This bangle, inspired by Eni Oken’s tutorial (www.enioken.com) has the colour of spring fresh grass: beautiful and big faceted jasper beads, green turquoise rondelles, Shiny copper beads with oxidized ridges, tiny copper round beads and hammered copper clasp. It is 20 cm long.

A gold bangle bracelet adds style to an ensemble, and a wide statement bracelet made of gold can catch the eye in an instant. When you're hunting for the perfect gold bangle to serve as a statement piece, you'll quickly find that pieces that are high quality with rich color can run in the thousands, leaving you with the choice of settling for a lower purity and less color or a smaller bangle design that what you had hoped. The Texturized Nu Gold Anticlastic Bangle Bracelet is the better option, as it gives you a wide, chunky look for a very low price. Please visit this link to find out more about this beautiful gold bangle: www.johnsbrana.com/texturized-nu-gold-anticlastic-bangle-...

Instead of genuine gold, the Texturized Nu Gold Anticlastic Bangle Bracelet is made from red brass, a material so vibrant in hue that it's called Nu Gold. The anticlastic folding and hand texturing of the piece give it a vibrant shine for a bold impression every time you wear it. The brass has a clear coating to guard against tarnish.

What caught my attention was two different culture women sharing same passion. Bangle seller is Muslim Lady and other one is a Rajasthani Lady.

This is a sterling silver wire wrapped bangle incorporating a lovely aquamarine stone. The delicately coloured aquamarine sits in a silver cage surrounded by spirals which also run alond the edges of the bangle. This bangle used several feet of sterling silver wire and fastens with a simple hook clasp.

Bangles or churi ( Hindi:चूड़ी (Choodi), Bengali: চুড়ি (churi), Urdu: چوڑیاں are traditional ornaments worn mostly by South Asian women in India and Bangladesh, especially Hindus.

This is my second attempt to use Mokume Gane to cover a bangle. The first is underneath.

I like my images on the darker side...
