Jason Chart Davies is a Manchester based designer for Lazerian, specialising in the creation of sculptural forms and jewellery using sheet plastics. The form and structure of Jason's jewellery takes shape from his intuitive sense of geometry, combined with a tactile, material based approach to design. Hand-crafted in sheet plastic, the pieces have an organic, intricate appearance, which utilise the flexibility of the medium to create flowing forms under tension. Jason Chart Davies joined Lazerian in January and has been developing work and collaborating with Liam Hopkins (founder of Lazerian) since.

Another project inspired by Rachel Nelson Smith’s work. I saw a picture of her See Star Bangle on her site last spring and was fell in love with it! I devised my own way of constructing it and choose colors bright corally colors mixed with a matte beige – cream color that brings out the shine in the coral colored beads. Copper colored seed beads at the tips of the spikes give a nice closure to the piece.
It is made of hundreds of tiny glass seed beads and countless hours of endless stitching but who cares; it was great fun! I am sure you will enjoy wearing it as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Cynthia Rowley ribbon provided the base for this gorgeous wrapped bangle...it's a black, European-folksy brocade that adds a boho funk to the piece. It's also wrapped in recycled Sari silk yard and sports a gorgeous rhinestone piece for maximum glam impact.
I was having fun playing with my bangles twirling them around my finger, and noticed a cool pattern it created.
Holding the ends so that it can't unwrap from your hand, dip it into a bowl of very soapy warm water and gently squeeze the water into every fibre.
