Kitty is eating two mice a week. We feed pre-killed defrosted for a few reasons, but mainly for two. My kids have pet mice, first off, and would protest feeding live. Secondly, there is less suffering on both creature's parts - the mouse and the snake - if the prey has been humanely killed prior to being eaten.
Kitty's a dumb snake. She cannot hunt, for some reason. If she detects a mouse in her area, she randomly strikes until she finds it.
I've never seen a snake quite so clueless about scenting out prey.
We found out that there was a Canadian Islamic Cultural Expo event on the other side of the art gallery from the Zombie Walk.
There was a tent called "Harmony with Nature", and people could touch various kinds of snakes and lizards (you needed to wash your hands before you touched them).
Eric and I are really afraid of bugs but not of reptiles, and Eric was playing with a cute orange corn snake.

Trotting out the wares. One of the best places to get your new reptile pet is at a breeders' show, and one of the more common animals on offer is the ball python. They are very gentle, and make great companions, living to be as old as 40 years.
Internationally, more and more locally bred animals are sold as breeders use advanced selection and husbandry to develop new patterns, colors and styles, rather than buying specimens gathered from the wild with the associated destruction of their populations and native habitat.

...the tools needed.
Several days after the bite, my finger got infected and I just knew a tooth was left in there. So I had to get an antibiotic shot and then I had my mother take care of my infected finger.
My mother, who is an R.N., injected a numbing agent into my finger! That hurt worse than anything! SHE HAD TO STICK THE NEEDLE ON ONE SIDE, PUSH IT THROUGH MY FINGER AND HAVE IT POP OUT THE OTHER SIDE! All the while injecting the fluid in my finger. Ah! The horror! lol After the numbing agent started to work...all was well. I didn't feel a thing. She stuck that needle with the green head down into infected site. It started to bleed and all I did was squeeze my finger and POP! out came the tooth!

Benin. West Africa.
Ouidah
In most parts of the world snakes are feared, but in Benin they are revered. Royal pythons are worshiped in Benin, especially in Ouidah. The good news is that royal pythons are not dangerous, but the bad news is that these sacred reptiles are welcome Beninese households where they are fed when the doors of the temple are opened at night. There is no fear when the locals welcome these slithering pythons into their living rooms like an honoured guest.
The Temple of Pythons is a small room of twelve square meters that houses 50 adult royal pythons.
