The Satlwater side of the Ballard Locks

Taken from the northern side of Magnolia, looking more-or-less straight east. The Hiram Chittenden (Ballard) Locks are in mid-frame, the raised drawbridge is the rail line that heads north out of Interbay along the shore to Vancouver BC.

 

(This was originally in color, but the day was so gloomy that there's really little difference between this image and the color version. Welcome to Seattle in winter.)
