After building the rather intimidating jaw, I just couldn't bring myself to goof it up with those googly eyes. I went with a deepsea prawn-like monster because I felt the other Flexers looked rather like sea creatures.
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FAVES
ON THE REACTIONS I WILL TRY TO RESPOND BACK

I am in the process of posting a series of Bald Eagle photos I took at the Decorah Trout Hatchery on 8/13/16.
This juvenile put on quite a show for me and here I was fortunate to capture him with some blue sky at his back.
This is one of two offspring of the Decorah Eagles born this spring and soon to leave the nest.
If you like photos of these eagles, you may find my Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/charliecoffeyphotography/?ref=aymt_homep...
Thanks in advance for viewing my photos. Comments are always read and appreciated!

De winter is voorbij, de lente volgt hem op en dat betekent dat het strand weer opgetuigd wordt om een heel seizoen gasten te verwennen...

The second time was even easier. Yoko remembered me from last time, only balked for a second, preferring to have her picture taken once she'd done her hair and make-up.
Which is exactly what I didn't want.
Such a remedy is usually found by just getting close, telling one in a stern voice "just don't move" and taking the picture before the spell can be broken.
Worked like a charm.
People tend to respond, Pavlov-like, to simple authoritative commands. No matter how much they're griping, dropping the voice an octave and barking at them gives you at least a few seconds of exactly what you want.
Having a super crazy camera in hand don't hurt none, either. Polaroid = Mind Control Power.

The new houses reflected perfectly in the mirror of the Luts. I saw the carriage approaching, got of my bike and took my cellphone ... it was hard to capture what I wanted to show, a cellphone is not as fast as my panasonic.

The sheep stands on the rim of a landslide scar at the foot of Back Balk, on the left bank of Carlingill Beck (hence in Carlin Gill, not Carling Gill) and within the Yorkshire Dales National Park; the right bank, incised by tributary gullies and technically outside the National Park, rises to Uldale Head. It's not immediately obvious that the farthest apparent section of this slope is a separate hill, Blease Fell (474 m), 1¼ km away where the Beck abruptly turns left towards the River Lune.
The background 'wall' is Greyrigg Pike (494 m), on the far side of the main Lune Valley (Lune Gorge); this silhouette hides the cliffs of Great Coum and Little Coum.

My camera balks at moon photos unless there's light in the sky, so today was my last chance to capture the big and beautiful Supermoon; tomorrow it will be too dark when the moon rises.

One of the more memorable and frustrating skies I've shot was during my visit to Huntington Beach back in mid March. I balked a few times prior to this trip since the clouds basically disappeared on my way there and it's too far to go for nothing. The day I did go was both cloudy and quite hazy and I didn't anticipate it being so hard to capture such a long pier from the angles I wanted.
Since the weather wasn't quite what most look for when they go to the beach, it was mostly empty for much of the afternoon. The wind was just quick enough to blow moisture onto the lens anytime I got a bit closer to the surf and I ended up with many shots showing some signs of moisture or streaking from inadequate cleaning. Once the sunset began, people flocked to the base of the pier while I mostly stayed put from a distance.
I still plan to return eventually but I'm guessing it will occur in the early Fall or at least when all the kids are back in school. I sort of miss having the beach all to myself and not struggling to park. It isn't easy to predict the weather here (once you get past the sunny and clear aspect). When there are clouds, they either show up just before sundown or just after dark and usually leave by sunrise. There have been a few days in the last few weeks where clear skies ended up being cloudy at sundown but I haven't had enough notice to get anywhere interesting before dark. I have my fingers crossed for a few cloudy days in my near future.
