I always get so excited when I open up a new bag of flour, as if the freshness is going to make my cookies or cakes a little more special :)

Emma, Sophie and Smila using Play-Doh tools to sculpt fondant for mix-and-match robot cupcakes. Fun AND delicious!
A first try. My mother has been enjoying baking with Sarabeth's book so much that I thought she would enjoy new challenges. This recipe is from the Baking with Julia book. Not quite Kossar's or H&H but still very delicious, chewy, and wonderful aroma. We're learning from making delicious mistakes.

Another from the vaults.
Dave the Chimp had a bake off ages and ages ago and here's some gingerbread men I cooked in the shape of my character (with much help from Ms Standingby). Sadly I left them in the oven a bit too long and they were pretty much inedible but I had to eat them to make sure my entry counted.
which I saw in littlepretty's photostream and was inspired to make with recipe she linked in her blog

Halibut season is here! Baked it with lemon and herbs, topped it off with some sundried tomato and caper pesto. Served with fingerling potatos, green beans, and tomato salad!
A classic from '03 (stating this up front just in case someone claims this is old news, since, you know, it is). The baked PowerBook. A lady brought it in to the repair shop I worked at claiming she stuck the machine in the oven for 20 minutes to dry it off after she spilled water on it. It still worked.
The display was obviously warped, and the keys melted, but pretty much everything else worked. An external display worked as expected. Airport, USB, FW, and optical drive worked as well.
This came out really well, I lightly sauteed zucchini mixed it with bow tie and rotini pasta, 1 jar of pasta sauce and some mozzarella, topped it all with some breadcrumbs and more mozzarella and baked it all, delicious!
These were rather time consuming to make (a laminated, yeasted dough) but OMG buttery and delicious. Mine turned out well, apparently, properly proofed and baked.
