It was good to see the Garden this morning free from gimmicks and sideshows. Missouri Botanical Garden in Saint Louis, Missouri.

The NC500 takes a sharp right (if heading anti-clockwise like me) after Unapool and heads west towards Stoer. Here the roads get interesting, the weather closed in, and the rain fell.

So I've been thinking . . . a lot . . .

As long as I'm over here on my Safari browser, nothing has changed.

So why am I still upset?

How do some of my contacts just accept the obnoxious flickr changes so easily?

Why do I react so vehemently to the horrible black box?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we found the black box from the missing airplane?

Perhaps having a lousy head cold isn't helping?

Anyway, what's wrong with back to basics?

Have a great SUNday, everyone!

The first shot using my D200 as a pin-hole camera ....

This was achieved by removing the lens and fitting the body cap which has a 1mm hole drilled through it - camera switched to manual focus and exposure - obviously I was unable to set the aperture or focus but just the exposure time - I selected 1/5 second with ISO100 and this is the result.....

Slightly tweaked in Camera RAW and the border added in Photoshop but pretty much straight out of camera.

Zinnia

Created in response to overwhelming requests from clients and our sales team, Zinnia maintains the same Japanese stencil-inspired, botanical pattern of Brentano classic Dahlia but re-imagines the weave for outdoor requirements and re-colors it for a fresh take on this successful, graphic upholstery. Woven from 100% high energy-dyed polyester, Zinnia meets contract performance standards at 30,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek). It also offers strong lightfastness and has both Teflon and antibacterial finishes. Available in 9 colors ranging from classic neutrals, like Dreamland and Aztec, to the established blue of Art Deco, to the bold and fun Sunbow and Peppermint Stick.

I like this image because it reminds me all the luxury we have in the West are superfluous and make our lives not better...

Isaan is the huge northeastern region of Thailand on the Korat plateau. It is a rural area and away from the mass tourism. I really love to stay in this authentic part of Thailand where people live close to nature, with some animist traditions. This is an attempt to make you discover what lies beyond the stereotypes...

(2007) This is a M1911A, GI model parkerized green, manufactured by Rock Island Armory in .45 acp, resting on OD background; RIA is the US Brand name for ARMSCOR based in the Philippines. They are just as dependable and rugged as the Springfield Armory GI model, at about half the price, and preferable to the Auto Ordinance M1911A. The grip is solid wood, no frills, while for comparision the Springfield has a checked pattern and two big letters "US" engraved on it, and the Auto Ordinance grips are molded plastic. This particular model can infrequently give a slight hammer-bite when firing. But it shoots accurately at 15 yards with the fixed sights. Plenty good for "street work" or home defense. I'd like to see the US military go back to this, or at least an updated .45 acp sidearm; This transition *is* slowly happening, since the rationale for moving to 9mm (NATO Alliance ammo sharing, for repulsing a USSR invasion of Western Europe) has mostly evaporated. The modern M9 is still a fine sidearm, I'm just still partial to the M1911A.

Request done! I hope you like it cuz I didn't have much time to make it, and it looked much better in my head lol

Everyone needs some variety. Some of my first shots were of food so I decided to go back to basics tonight.

Schematic

There’s room in the plan for Schematic, a high-performance contract upholstery available in 5 masculine colors. 100% solution-dyed nylon, Schematic combines a large-scale yet refined architectural pattern with a heathered ground for a soft look. Perfect for offices looking for a graphic pattern while requiring durability, Schematic is finished with GreenShield, which increases moisture resistance and prevents stains while using less energy and fewer fluorocarbons than other treatments. It exceeds 250,000 double rubs and is bleach cleanable.

Anita took this of me earlier today, using my favourite box camera. First of all though, I had to roll a 120 film onto a 620 spindle, and load it i the camera. After using up the film, I had to develop and fix the film, rinse it, dry it, then scan it. All since this afternoon with a slight disability to the right hand. Just hope my doc doesn't read this!
