Such a pretty scene here in the blue hour as the lights of Savannah start to light up the clouds across the inlet area that faces away from the ocean there on Tybee Island.
Mr. Moose spied the first tasty flower of the season and headed right for it, leaving me with nothing but a shot of his "backside".
Posted for: "Looking Close on Friday" theme; "Backside".
(The whole moose backside measures 1-1/4'" wide by 2" tall.)
Bit of an unusual perspective for today's picture. Thought it would be interesting to capture the back of the flower.

Australian magpie (Gymnorhina tibicen) with a happy find.
I never thought that a Magpie's backside could be so pretty, until I captured this one on our neighbours' gutter.
Rear view of a mother polar bear and her two cubs in a snowy landscape with stunted trees on the shore of Hudson Bay, Churchill, MB. Not immediately obvious is that the rear cub has turn his head back as if apologizing for the backside view.

The world was still wearing its winter browns when this shot was taken early last Spring. This Blue Jay provided some welcome color relief.
To me this is the more interesting side of Thompson's Flouring Mill. When I was back there windows were open and some were missing. Swallows perpetually darted through the air eating insects. The front of the building is painted nicely, but as you can see the paint on the rear is peeling. Definitely a Bates Motel vibe. Shooting in infrared light made it seem even more creepy.

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. All comments and Faves are very much appreciated
This little house sparrow had no problem showing off her backside to me but still alert as evidenced by her quick sideways glance!
The moonflower (also known as devil’s trumpet and thorn apple) is a lovely trumpet-shaped, self-seeding, nocturnal annual flower and a wonderful addition to your flower garden. A North American native, the moonflower was founded in Jamestown, Virginia, and its botanical name is ipomoea alba.
