New backpack for me! This is the one I will take to Japan, but actually I have been using it every day. It's a large backpack (41l) but it fits my camera gear and electronics nicely. I love it!

One more backpack. This is the backpack I bought at the bookstore, along with a pile of books, the day I started grad school in 1981. It was my main small backpack until I bought my Dana Design daypack in the mid nineties. The zippers are nearly shot but other wise it has held up well over many years of travel.
The stock backpack is kind of plain looking. But at the same time it still needs to be able to hold the cargo container. So, recessed details it is.
