was a 'league of nations' at the Myalbangera Outstation near Griffith NSW over Easter. Being a cheapskate i pitched my tent on the grounds and used the facilities. During the day i would go off by myself birding, and at night join the mad, young backpackers in celebrating end of vintage/harvest, as most of them were involved in fruit picking to subsidise their journeys.
This is my backpack for my upcoming travels. It's got enough gear in it to travel indefinitely I hope. I ironed on 2 patches. One for my favorite travel show by far Departures which I own all the DVD's for. And the other is a cool patch I found that has the Canada flag and the provincial flag of Saskatchewan which is where I am from.

I made this at the request of a friend (and I really wanted to try it out). I took the satchel design, and altered it a bit so that it's now a backpack! The backpack straps are connected to the opening of the bag! You open the bag, the slack in the straps disappears. You close the bag, and you have enough slack to wear it on your back. I hopes she likes it.
And yes, it help to be off meds when sewing. I had to redo parts of it three times.

This is an unusual female action figure as it’s top-heavy at the back rather than the front.
Such as reflective fabric on the shoulder straps and other places on the pack, a sleek aerodynamic lid with a quick ratchet closure system, and improved ventilation of the back panel.
My favorite change, because I believe (and am willing to testify before a grand jury) that the designers snuck into my brain one night and took it from my cerebrum, can be found at the top of the shoulder straps. Like a good hiking backpack, two straps allow you to pull the top of the pack close to your shoulder blades. After adjustment, the extra strap material can be secured with velcro to the shoulder strap, so that they don’t flap in the breeze, thrumming the lower edge of your helmet for hours on end. Don’t ask me how I know this.
Finished bag - the zip was sewn in by had- too many layers for my machine and needles!
