I love when I empty cooper's backpack and find the creative treasures from junior k. today's treasure...dragonflies.
Another shot of the backpack for my son.
My daughter is all the way to the left in the pink pants, and my niece is in the middle.
2nd backpack - first one I've taken pictures of - going to be hard to get good pictures, I think. Has a flap with magnetic snap, inside top has drawsting with cord lock. Inside zipper pocket, adjustable shoulder straps and top handle.
The event is called Backpack to Briefcase, which took place on Tuesday, April 14th in Latham Hall. This event was for graduating seniors to teach them about the world after college with topics including buying a car, 401ks, banking, buying a house, etc. Student walked around from table to table and spoke to each representative for about 10-15 minutes. Backpack to Briefcase was sponsored by Widener University's Career Services.
Everyone has a place or two that they want to keep secret. This is definitely one of ours. Paul and I went back to an old stomping grounds for a week long backpacking trip to celebrate his 50th birthday. Our original route was cancelled due to a fire in the area, but Plan B turned out great. We caught some cutthroats, saw 5 black bear, 5 rattlesnakes, osprey, eagles, big Chinook salmon and the Perseid meteor showers. The weather was warm for carrying heavy packs, but at least a couple rain storms drenched us. There was a microburst that came through the area one afternoon, like a freight train, that had us watching multiple trees busting over. Luckily the tall cedars, douglas firs and ponderosa pines at our camp bent, but did not break. An awesome trip in an amazing place with a great friend.
