I was hiking around this finger of the lake (which is in the Texas portion of the Canadian River Canyon) with my sister in early January. While she was rockhounding, I was snapping photos of this backlit scene just before sunset.
Camera: Fujifilm X-T5
Lens: Tamron 18-300 mm
Settings: ISO 200, f/11, 1/150s, 101 mm

Backlit sunset mood captured on the Breitenstein end of last year. If you question yourself - no I didn't use any masking to darken the sky, it was really looking like that on this evening.
As we all learned in High School Biology, the tiny tubes, all bundled up together, which bring water and minerals from the roots to the leaves and stems/trunk/bark/branches is called the Xylem.
Here is a slice of celery and a slice of carrot, showing where the Xylem is, for each plant.
We also learned that there are other tiny tubes which bring the sugars which the leaves make, down to feed the rest of the plant... and those are called the Phloem.
So, for "X" day, here's Xylem.
