This shot was taken with a Canon PowerShot S2 IS.

Backlit late afternoon light adds a warm almost neon glow to a dried stalk of grass, with the attached spider webs aglow like tiny light sabers.

Specs ---so i knew that i needed the backlight again to show the magic of the flour --so i set up 2 flashes on stands one behind me and one behind tam --

Caminante, Antonio Machado

" Caminante, son tus huellas

el camino, y nada más;

caminante, no hay camino,

se hace camino al andar.

Al andar se hace camino,

y al volver la vista atrás

se ve la senda que nunca

se ha de pisar.

Caminante, no hay camino,

sino estelas en la mar. "

After a summer shower...

Maitencillo, Chile

This is an industrial worksite after hours, transformed by soft moonlight and intense work lighting throughout the night. I was amazed at the quality of the unintentional light painting, and worked quickly to try and capture a number of wonderfully lit scenes.

In this scene, I was fascinated by shifting beams of light streaming through the gaps in the pallets, and occasional plumes of white steam, as heavy machinery roared and rumbled in the background. It was hard to capture those fleeting moments, but it was a beautiful night.

I wandered in around sunset, not realizing that it might be tricky to leave once the front gates were locked. oops.

Fortunately, someone was around to open the gate for me.

Thanks for all the comments and favs, and as always i will the to return the favor.

Today marks the first day of school for so many kids, and it's back to work for some of us adults! Back in my childhood, when my parents moved to France, I remember the very first French school I was sent to... in a small village called Les Olmes, where my grand parents lived. Every day, my grandfather would walk his dog along this road, and I would follow on my "trottinette" (scooter). Years later, I took my kids along the same walk along the Chemin de Bine, reminding me of the circle of life.

wishing you a nice week filled with sunshine and happiness.

for us in my region it is said to become HOT again. :(

Vanessa is one of our all time favourite brides who has returned for her maternity shoot. She is always smiling and so radiant that she lights up a room.

Even heavily pregnant she is still walking her dogs regularly and keeping active so I knew I wanted to photograph her away from the studio... a bit of a change from my usual maternity images.
