I tried to backlight a coral again. But for a better result I will need a snoot. This will concentrate all the light in the coral and not lighten it up like on this picture. This picture was taken at Thomas reef, Tiran.
Strobist info:
- Subtronic Gamma @ 1/8 cam top
- Nikonos SB 105 @ 1/2 cam bottom
- Inon S2000 @ 1/2 behind coral
- triggered with wire and slave
Natural backlight portrait during the golden hour in köln, Germany. Not everyday you have such a background to compose your image.
Now I've flipped the background light around to point straight at the camera, and enhanced the flare with a light dusting of fog. The wind is still on, and Sarah is still swinging the hair around - I just took this one later in the turn to give less extreme hair.

Just going through old folders and finding stuff that I never really liked and posting it anyway!
These images always really disappointed me. I had photo-geek's pics in my head, but it didn't help me to create one of those awesome interior car images that she makes.
