In my garden, this is the only plant I do not know the name of!
I bought it on the market, years ago, it had a lovely photo of how it would become, no name though... shows again how deceptive photos can be, LOL. It is in fact tiny!
Anyway, it is very hardy, with insignificant small leaves, in late Spring... it grows insignificant little white flowers, mostly hidden under the leaves, in Summer it is ... just there?
Then comes Autumn, and the leaves turn on all the colours of the rainbow, for a few short weeks, two if your lucky with the weather, it becomes an ABSOLUTE focal point of attraction in the garden... pure GLORY... then it's gone again... till next year!

Once the "National Limited" got me to NYC, I had an afternoon and evening to walk around viewing the amazing city and the amazing people in it. Departure from NYC was on the "Montrealer", and more scary track until we entered the Central Vermont's main line (ownership of the main was shared by B&M and CV south of White River) north of White River Junction. I slept pretty well! The service stop at St. Albans was a chance to stretch my legs and get some pictures. The grand red brick building in the background served as general offices for CV, and as the Amtrak station. It once had a trainshed attached, but that was gone shortly before the beginning of Amtrak.

Not a studio shot! Taken outside on a still day. Metered for the white and yellow petals which darkened the background foliage. Scanned on Epson V850 flatbed at 2,400 ppi and contrast manipulated in Lightroom

Candid shot of a Capitol Hill Arts Workshop student in my Washington, D.C. photo class. Single dot focusing was on the rim of the student's lens but special attention was on the background, framing the subject in the doorway and using the photo of the wall to balance the image.

Trying a different food shot. If you see most of my food shots are illuminated from behind. I really want to experiment with side lighting and doing a backdrop.
Using backlit has a disadvantage as I can't use any backdrop but it was fun to use a blue background here.
Here's a 5-image panorama... of the Marakura Yacht Club jetty... which I captured at dawn... on the shores of Lake Te Anau... with the Murchison mountains in the background... on the South Island of New Zealand.
Panorama, Nikon D800, Nikkor 24 - 70 mm at 33 mm, ISO of 100, aperture of f/11 with a 20 second exposure.
