Hi all !!
It had been a long time since I had taken a photo on a simple black background. I wanted to, and here is the result. I hope you like.
Story : Give you some rose, give you my blood...
Beautiful to behold, dangerous to the touch...

One of our resident Dunnocks perched on my wildflower patch fence post.
The shrub in the background is our Guelder Rose which is just starting to change into it’s autumn colours.
Many thanks to all who take the time to view, comment or fave my images.
De bon matin, cette jolie huppe est venue me saluer parée de sa plus jolie coiffe .........
Je vous souhaite à toutes et tous, une très bonne soirée 😊
For Looking Close... on Friday!'s #whiteandred theme
(Wow; I really wasn't expecting it to be so difficult to get a proper red... But although the background I used was undeniably red, the colour of this image seemed to keep changing from shades of orange to shades of pink or purple. But I think I got there in the end 😀)
Fall 2015...week 3, photo # 2...Peaks of Otter, Blue Ridge Parkway, Va
This one was also taken at the Peaks of Otter. The Fall colors are slowly coming to life. The view from this walkway is always a favorite, with Sharp Top prominent in the background. This time, Sharp Top was completed obscured by fog. But the walkway still provided a good opportunity for a creative view. Love the Peaks!
When I finally got a clean shot at our visiting WCSP, it ended up being against a less interesting white background-- note that this is the same bird and perch as yesterday. I guess you can't have everything... Glendale, Missouri
I haven't had a kalanchoe quite like this one. New blooms keep appearing daily. I like using them for macro shots and am having fun experimenting with washi paper backgrounds. I like the way the buds showed up in this pic.
Please note that long lists of group invites will be vapourised.

Hello awesome Flickr People !!
Today is a yellow day at Color my World Daily and the theme at the fabulous *ღღ* Cosas de casa *ღღ Group, is white background.
So what is yellow, full of vitamins, goes great with gin & tonic and looks awesome on white background ? Lemon of course !!
I had this picture on my mind for quite some time now so when I heard the white background theme I was ready !
Well at least in my head, because capturing the picture that I actually like is surprisingly very time consuming (am I too obsessive ??? Am I a photography monster ?? I think we have something here.)… We all (yes, my family’s input is mandatory during the photo shoots !!) almost lost our minds with this one… Luckily we had gin & tonic for my husband and I and video games for my sons to calm down… So cheers my friends and I hope you like the result !
See you later my friends !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and healthy!! And see you soon on Flickr!!

Another from last year. The background is natural - just the early light falling on golden grass with the butterfly in my shadow and a tweak or two of the exposure.
the second owl in the background could not be seen with the naked eye in the dark basket.

der zweite Kauz im Hintergrund war mit bloßem Auge in dem dunklen Korb nicht zu sehen.

Such opulent flowers, a joy for the eye.

Just behind the perch where this male of Anax imperator rested from his short flights, there was a small waterfall that allowed us to obtain some photos with very curious and interesting backgrounds.
Some of them gave the impression that they had been modified in their edition to obtain such striking effects.
In that wonderful place that is La Puça, Petrer (Alicante).

This delicate floral ceramic sulpture was a gift from a client many yrs ago. It is VERY special to me. HLCoF
Cell Phone Shot.
I tested my new Laowa 100mm F2.8 2× macro lens, and this is the result. I used a metal kitchen whisk for the curves in the foreground with a few drops of glycerin, and behind it I placed a piece of gift‑wrap paper covered with curved, colorful shimmering patterns. The droplets acted like tiny lenses and revealed the curves hidden in the background.
I really appreciate all your likes and kind reactions on this photo, thank you!

Back in the late 90s we lived on the Olympic Peninsula and Robert commuted on the ferry every day. He worked in Edmonds. This was shot from the shores of Edmonds this morning at day break. That's looking across Puget Sound at the Kingston landing with the Brothers in the background.
