...Moel Hebog looming in the background. The water tank sadly unused...Welsh Highland Railway trains haven't run for a good while.
Kites look so much better against a darker background. I usually get shots of them with a white or blue sky and the contrast is just not enough. That's why I think this is a lovely background.

Mabelle Avenue is in a high density, low-income inner-suburban neighbourhood in Central Etobicoke, Ontario. Four of the seven rental towers lining the block are owned and operated by Toronto Community Housing - the second largest landlord in North America.
Since 2007, Mabelle Arts has brought together artists, architects, builders and gardeners with thousands of community members of all ages and backgrounds to reimagine Mabelle Park from the abandoned edge of a thoroughfare to a vibrant artpark and arts and culture hub.
Mabelle Park represents a new kind of social infrastructure - one that can more nimbly respond to community needs and desires and increase collective resiliency.

107-year-old locomotive used from 1917 through the 1950s to transport coal from the mine to the harbor, Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard, Norway with Amundsen-Ellsworth-Airship tower in background.
Kisdon Force consists of two waterfalls, this one and the one in the background..
These photo's are all off an old back up hard drive, none of these photo's have been processed before. At the time of taking I took many shots, trying different settings, I posted some and others have just stayed dormant on my back up hard drive..
It began as a raw file, still learning the ropes. perhaps you recognize the background is reversed from the previous. Enjoy the creative moment.

I had some reasonable shots of a Kingfisher but they had a pretty uninspiring grey background due to a dull overcast day. So for the very first time I decided to find out how to change the background of the shot, this is the result not perfect by any means but more pleasing to the eye than grey. There is also a slight vignette, it's obviously not a natural background and I would always say if I had done this. Any thoughts ?

I don't usually like to put up new versions of old images, but I've broken my rule in this case. The previous version didn't give a sense of the scale of the building: it was just a crop of the top. This version, I hope, better conveys the height.

In my garden, this is the only plant I do not know the name of!
I bought it on the market, years ago, it had a lovely photo of how it would become, no name though... shows again how deceptive photos can be, LOL. It is in fact tiny!
Anyway, it is very hardy, with insignificant small leaves, in late Spring... it grows insignificant little white flowers, mostly hidden under the leaves, in Summer it is ... just there?
Then comes Autumn, and the leaves turn on all the colours of the rainbow, for a few short weeks, two if your lucky with the weather, it becomes an ABSOLUTE focal point of attraction in the garden... pure GLORY... then it's gone again... till next year!
